  • Quiet and comfortable retreat

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and took advantage of the great weather and made the most of the pool. Very quiet and relaxing break. Taking meals on the terrace before retiring to a comfortable bed. Close to All the main. Supermarkets and near to the beautiful bastide of. Monflanquin, with a good choice of bars and restaurants. Definitely come stay again.

  • Quirky and comfortable

This cottage is well situated for discovering the wonderful Bastide towns in the Dordogne. It is probably more suited to the younger generations as access to the upstairs bedrooms is negotiated by an steepish staircase through what appears to be an enlarged loft hatch with a child's stair gate at the top. There are beams to duck under so agility is required - all in our party were a bit creaky! However, the lounge is comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, the ground floor bedroom very spacious and beds/pillows comfortable. The twin bedroom upstairs is suitable for two children and the double bedroom is spacious and comfortable. The upstairs bathroom is large also, with a multi-faceted shower that has water coming from several directions! We loved eating outside on the covered terrace. The swimming pool is a good size and large enough to have a good swim to cool down. It has a cover to help retain the heat at night. The owners had left a comprehensive guide to the area which was most helpful. The Sky TV was a bonus - it meant we didn't miss The Bodyguard! The Internet signal was better than at home. It was a successful holiday and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you to Sarah and Gerry.
