  • Fantastic family house in a beautiful area

We spent a week here last September with our 2-year-old son. It's a very comfortable, cozy house with a fabulous garden. We arrived to a warm welcome by the hosts Tina and Bo and in the fridge there where two bottles of cider waiting and an amazing apple pie. The garden is huge and perfect for children. It has a volleyball net, little soccer goals a slide and a swing. There is a very nice swimming pool with sunbeds. The pool is heated (the water temperature was a very nice 29degrees even in September). The pool is fenced and even has a full selection of inflatable animals. Bo takes pride in keeping the pool spotless. Tina and Bo are such great hosts. We celebrated the second birthday of our son during our holiday and Tina baked us a beautiful birthday cake in the shape of a teddy bear. They even bought our son a birthday present. We had a lovely week and we would very much like to visit again. We would definitely recommend staying here!

  • Very comfortable and well-located holiday home in Normandy

My family and I had a wonderful week's stay at the end of August. The house was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable, and it's in a very quiet neighbourhood. There was a welcome "hamper" from Laurent (merci beaucoup), and we were given permission to take some apples and pears from the garden. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a dishwasher, and the dining table was big enough for us to be able to spread our plates out on. The location was great: La Ferté-Macé is just a couple of minutes' drive and has boulangeries and many other shops. There is a supermarket with a 24-hour petrol station too. The whole town came alive for the Thursday market, from which we bought some really tasty produce. The beautiful spa town of Bagnoles-de-l'Orne is 10 minutes away and well worth a visit. We even did Paris for a day - a 20-minute drive to Briouze (free parking at the station) and a 2.25-hour train ride is all it took. There's even a bus from Bagnoles that connects with the train. We also did Mont-Saint-Michel (we got there early and had seen everything just as it was getting busy), Le Mans, and a wonderful but moving museum in Falaise. The three of us had a great week, and we wholeheartedly recommend this house as a great base to holiday from.
