  • Beautiful, relaxing location.

Jim and Jo were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The property is a beautifully restored old stone barn with a contemporary and comfortable interior. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering. The outside areas are great: a north facing courtyard with views over the valley and Monflanquin, and a south facing patio with a lovely fig tree to sit in the shade of, and a good-sized pool to cool off in and play with the kids. There are also extensive grounds that we were free to explore. A car is essential and there’s not really much within easy walking distance (if you have small children as we do!) We would not hesitate to return.

Lovely place- very suitable for us , 2 families with 4 children under 5 and a pair of grandparents! each family was able to have their own area and own bathroom- all the rooms spacious and convenient. Everything very clean and all we needed in the kitchen. 2 really good large fridges- vital in hot weather. A great terrace - shady at lunchtime and a large table ideal for all your meals. The layout was great, the situation beautiful, very rural with loads of wild life: birds of prey, deer, lots of lizards, colourful dragon flies and the odd frog. Well equipped with very good cots and high chairs. The best bit was the safely fenced and delightful swimming pool which kept the children happy for hours on end. Well placed for chateaux, Chateau Bridoire great for kids, and Eymet a lovely place to mooch around and have coffee. Good supermarkets not too far away. Glorious countryside, sunflowers in every direction. One of the best family hols we've had in years.
