Very quaint but small

4 of 5
We stayed one night on route further south. Lovely little place but a bit too small for us. Very clean, well presented, nice shower, comfy bed and lovely host. Not really suitable for anyone older and less able to climb the little staircase to the bedroom.

Rural idyllic with peace and quiet

5 of 5
There were 7 of us for a week in the 4 bedroom cottage. We spent most meal, breakfast and evening meals on the decking. The bbq right next to the tables, the heated pool and owners on site for support or clarification (swivel the sink stopper lol) when needed. The area is spectacular with the Loire close by, walks in the woods, a roman amphitheatre (who would have thought that?), supermarket, fuel and a weekday market in the local town ten minutes drive away. We visited Chateau and Abbeys, Troglodyte villages and wine tasted after an underground cycle ride. We truly recommend this base for comfort, facilities and local attractions. You won't be disappointed, which is what the couple in the cottage next door said that they have been staying here for 16 years, which relates to 22 vacations! You won't feel overwhelmed when the barn is full too as that's what happened during our stay. No noise as homes are far enough away not to spoil your time as it most certainly didn't spoil ours. Grateful to John and Patricia for a welcome and information. Our last night at the local restaurant, a very scummy meal. Highly recommended.
