Rustic luxury in the French countryside

5 of 5
The 3 of us stayed at L'Isle (mum, dad and 10-year-old daughter) the last week of August. We were warmly welcomed by Juul and Johan and felt straight away at home. The evening of our arrival, Juul and Johan had cooked a lovely dinner for all the guests, which was a great way to getting to know everyone. On Sunday we also joined in with the pizza making evening, which was a wonderful and tasty experience and again we sat around the table with all the other guest which was lovely. We spend a lot of time in the wonderful huge garden and at the swimming pool. We had our dog Lola with us, who loved having the space to move around. The gite was very luxurious, without losing it's rustic character and had absolutely everything we needed and the beds where extremely comfortable, so we all slept very well. We had relaxing days as a family and a few evenings we had BBQ's with another family staying there, which was a lot of fun. Juul and Johan are always there to help and show you things to do in the area. It felt very private where every gite had their own separate area to sit outside. All in all a great place to stay if you're after a relaxing holiday away in the French countryside, with still all the comforts of home. I highly recommend and we will definitely come back again.
