The property was easy to find and in an idyllic location. Just the two of us so plenty of space but would be fine for a family too. Chantelle and Colin could not have been more welcoming and were more than happy to provide local information to add to the literature already in Le Rudel. Ideal position for a bit of sightseeing , Carcassonne and Albi an hour or so away and if not wanting to travel the options of laying in the garden or swimming in the lovely pool. Would very much recommend.
The Pigeonnier has been beautifully developed and offers a very comfortable place to stay, the main bedroom in the tower is a particular highlight. The fact that there are four en suites is also very useful feature that should not be underestimated. It is clear plenty of consideration and effort has gone into the development. Between relaxing on the decking and by the pool and visiting nearby attractions we spent very little time inside. That being said there are two separate living room and both were very comfortable. The garden is vast with plenty of space for kids to play and the pool is in a great location, catching the sun all day.
The location itself is very peaceful and if you're looking to relax and switch off look no further. You can enjoy lovely views of the sunrise, and particularly the sunset, in peace. However, you are certainly not completely cut off and it is very easy to get to nearby towns such as Toulouse, Albi and Carcassone. If you are not familiar with the area Richard and Isabelle are very welcoming and very helpful, providing plenty of information about things to do / places to visit and eat.
We loved our stay here and wished we'd stayed for longer, 1 week was certainly not enough. Thank you Richard and Isabelle
