  • Location was fantastic. If you really want a place totally out of the way then this is for you.

Owners were very pleasant. The cottage is located away from anyone even though in the owners grounds. Nearest shops are 4 miles away. A very up and down route on single tracked roads. Great area for cycling and walking. Only downside for us being British, no kettle. Bolied water on hob in saucepan. This certainly did not distract from the holiday. Great having wildlife so close including bats flying. Certainly would go back. However if you do not like walking or cycling up and down mountains this is not the place or you. If you enjoy this and want a very peaceful location then give it a try.

  • Lovely property, very central, with garage

The owner is very helpful and easy to communicate with. The property is accessed via a car park, which is initially off putting, but once you enter it is lovely. A large garden, with a patio and seating, leads to the house. There is everything that is needed including a dish washer and washing machine. The house is large and has a good sized TV. I have given four stars as some elements such as the sofa and a number of chipped plates make some elements feel a little tired. We also had a problem with ants that Christian, the owner, helped with very quickly. At the end of the garden there is a large gate that makes you feel very secure at night (although Lourdes feels very safe anyway) and a parking area for one car. There is also a garage. The house is situated behind the parish church and it is very easy to get to. It is ideal as you can walk to the Grotto and Domaine in about 15 minutes but also get to shops and out of town very quickly. It is metres from good shops, baker etc.
