Azille is a lovely village with a friendly atmosphere. It has a boulangerie and grocery shop where you can stock up on provisions to fill the kitchen of your self catering accommodation! On the days when you’d rather sit back and relax, enjoy a meal in a restaurant or a drink or two in the village bar. The wine caves and vineyards in the area are great for visiting, and walking or cycling on the quiet roads is popular. Very close by to your Azille accommodation is a leisure lake where water sports are available and swimming can be enjoyed, or rent a boat or a pedaloe and go fishing! If you prefer the coast, this is within reach too, but Lac Jouarres is just as good, if not better! With the backdrop of the Black Mountain and the Pyrenees, the whole Azille area is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery if you prefer to do nothing at all.

Just outside the village is Canal du Midi; a canal that was built in 1666 and is now a World Heritage Site.

Lovely house in a great location

5 of 5
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this little village. The house is well kitted out with lots of space, a cozy wood burning stove and an atmospheric position next to the church. We did lots of driving in the area to explore the towns and villages and found it to be a great spot.

Lovely traditional French house in great village

4 of 5
Azille is a lovely village with a bar, a couple of restaurants, a great shop and boulangerie (closed for building works while we were there) and an Indian Takeaway! It is hard to imagine a better balance of peaceful rural french life. Azille Manson is an equally lovely and traditional french house, tucked away down pedestrian only road on three floors with three excellent sized bedrooms, a great open plan living space and a courtyard with gas barbecue - something we used several times. The kitchen is well equipped and just about everything that you could want is there. One more traditional thing about Azille is the local church. It's very pretty and the bells ring out the time every hour on the hour. Who needs an alarm clock! If you are a light sleeper you may need to bear that in mind!
