A lovely place to stay in Quillan with a very helpful owner.

4 of 5
The property is newly refurbished and very comfortable. I lot of thought and effort has gone into the refurbishment. It is within easy reach of all the amenities in Quillan and there was no problem parking. As the house is on four floors with steep staircases it might not suit all travellers but we loved the layout and the decor and would recommend it to our friends and family.

Superb property

5 of 5
I spent four days at this lovely villa in Quillan in January. What can I say .. the villa was all I could have hoped for! The weather was amazing with wall to wall blue skies and sunshine but outside it was freezing! Not to worry, the villa was warm and cosy the whole time, thanks largely to the luxury of the underfloor heating and then of course there was the glorious woodburner, which we fired up in the evenings .. not because we needed more heat, but because it was just so great to lounge in front of it, watching the TV with a glass of the local Fitou! The villa is spotless ... the kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils and crockery you could wish for plus, of course, a dishwasher! The ground floor is open plan and ideal for families or groups of friends ... you can cook, dine and doss around together, which is ideal! There is a double suite on the ground floor, which is ideal for those who might have less mobility than they'd wish and three more double rooms (two with twin beds) upstairs, with the biggest shower room I've ever seen for them to share. The garden is just beautiful ... it's got a great deck and pool area ... even though (naturally!) it wasn't being used in January!! The rear garden goes down to the River Aude and would be perfect for anyone wanting to do a bit of fishing. It might even suit those who are wild swimmers if there's enough water in the warmer seasons, that is! I think this property is a gem and would suit anyone looking for a break in the Languedoc. It's within an hour of the coast and glorious beaches of Argeles sur Mer and Canet Plage, the amazing city of Carcassonne as well as the classic towns of Foix & Limoux. Even in the depths of winter there was so much to see and do that I can't wait to return!

Our holiday in villa Caudies

5 of 5
We stayed with friends in the last two weeks in September 2016 at the Villa Caudies. We were pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful open plan space. Very well equipped. Patio doors leading out to a terrace, equipped with barbecue and large table and chairs, with stunning views of the mountains. To the rear of the villa a lovely swimming pool, once again with a stunning back drop of the mountains. We spent a lot of our time lounging around the very private swimming pool, with temperatures around about 25 degrees. The nearest village is Caudies which is only five minutes away which has a few amenities, but we found shopping at Carrefour at St Pauls a little cheaper, and only another 15 minutes extra drive. Whilst most of our party lazed around the pool, the more adventurous of us enjoyed some of the extreme sports on offer. We started with the Via Ferratta at St Pauls in the morning, a fantastic climb and high wire traverses. Then in the afternoon we booked to do some white water rafting and some hydro speed. A fantastic day but very tiring. On our last evening we decided to go to a restaurant we spotted just down the road called Le Rebenty. We had a lovely meal, I personally enjoyed the Kwak beer served in a strange glass! A fantastic holiday in a superb location. We will be booking again especially as the owner is dog friendly.
