Excellent holiday in a beautiful setting.

4 of 5
This lovely farmhouse is set in beautiful surrounding. We found it so peaceful, the only sounds we heard were the birds and occasionally the sheep (which we visited up near the castle ruins). The house was really well equipped and had everything we could have needed for our stay and more. We were lucky to have fantastic weather during our holiday and made use of the pool every day. We walked to Aurignac over the fields and through the woods, it took about 50 minutes. We really loved the village and made use of the shops, particularly the boulangerie and fruit and veg shop. One evening, we had takeaway pizzas from the bar near the post office. They were delicious. Other than that, we didn't go to any restaurants as we happy to stay in the farmhouse and bbq! We only did a couple of trips, one was to Foix to go white water rafting which was a great success and good value for money. We would love to visit again some time in the future. Thank you for lovely holiday!

Gloriou Rural Retreat

5 of 5
With ever changing, undisturbed views of the Pyrenees as a backdrop, we would recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful rural hide away, it’s a gem! The interior of the house is cool and serene and outside is very well designed with a large swimming pool and deck enabling you to watch the sun go down over the mountains in the distance. We had a very enjoyable week lounging by the pool and barbecuing in the evening. Finding supplies in the nearby town was a food lovers heaven especially on market days. The hilltop medieval village of St Bertrand de Comminges was an easy drive away and well worth a visit but only if you can tear yourself away from Desbarats. I should also say the house is stylishly furnished to the highest standard, clean, comfortable and relaxing. Enjoy. R.Stock, Essex. August 2016
