Coming fully equipped, well decorated and tastefully furnished, it will feel like a home away from home. One word of advice – because of its location, you may wish to hire a vehicle for the length of your stay if you have not driven your car over.

The area is famous for its Cathar castles, and there are many that you can visit or simply drive past after taking a photo. La Cave is a beautiful property in the quiet village of Maisons with views of the nearby mountains. The village doesn't have a bakery but does have a regular mobile bakery which became part of our breakfast ritual of waiting for the horn blast to indicate the arrival of the bakery which stopped right outside the La Cave if you caught their attention. There is Local bakery shop and Spar shop in the nearby village of Tuchan which you reach by a winding mountain road with spectacular views. The owner's John and Lin are very welcoming and friendly and have furnished the property with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The nearby old town of Perpignan and the seaside town of Collioure are well worth a visit.
