Quirky place. Veiws from terrace amazing.

4 of 5
The gite was unusual with lots of stairs up and down. In the most beautiful countryside and fantastic views from the rooftop terrace. Wish we could have had small table and folding chairs up there instead of only 2 sun loungers. If lying on them you can't see the views and being 72 I would prefer some nice chairs to make the most of that beautiful terrace. The bbq was in an enclosed garden with no views at all I understand you can't have the bbq anywhere else but would have liked to take our food up to rooftop terrace to enjoy. The only comfortable chairs were in the lounge area and that had no sun or views at all. Some aspects of the place needed a good clean and we had to do some kitchen cleaning eg. oven to make it useable. Anne and Eric were good hosts and we liked them very much. Communication was fine with Anne but difficult when only Eric was there as he has no english and my french is pretty poor!

The house was lovely, well equipped, and perfectly located.

The property is perfect for spending a short break in Carcasonne. It is very well equipped, a very comfortable bed, modern bathroom and although there is no oven the cooking facilities are adequate for breakfast and lunch. There is also a BBQ which is perfect for cooking in the evening. The property is ideally located for exploring the area and near to the main tourist attraction and some lovely restaurants within walking distance. We had a really lovely stay. Elisabeth the owner is great to deal with and very welcoming. She was most helpful when we ran into a couple of minor problems.
