A great place to stay - what a landmark!

4 of 5
The gite is over three levels and the main rooms are fantastic. The kitchen, toilet and bathroom are basic, but remember the place was built at the same time as the castle. Both Christiane and Bernard are lovely people and made us feel very welcome. The views are fantastic.

Lovely Dordogne gite with fantastic sunset views

5 of 5
We had a fabulous stay at this lovely gite in Lostanges. The children spent almost the entire week in the pool allowing us to enjoy beautiful views over the Dordogne valley. Sunset was a special time each day and it's hard to imagine a more wonderful place to get away from it all. The house is spacious, even for a family with six kids as we have, and there's plenty to do locally including visiting Rocamadour and the local caves. But the most fun was had swimming in the Dordogne river which is less than half an hour away. Peter and Margaret next door are on hand if need be and the village itself is small and peaceful with good shops only a short drive away. Many thanks to Jo and Monica for allowing us to stay there at such short notice when our other holiday plans fell through, and we certainly look forward to going back to Lostanges again in the future.
