Great place to relax & watch the boats go by

5 of 5
The owner Samuel met us when we arrived & gave us a good introduction to the chalet which was welcome. It is really like a home from home as the owners give access to all their holiday type stuff which they keep there, beach umbrellas etc which was great as we were blessed with great weather for our stay ! The photographs on the web site don't do the view of the river Vilaine proper justice, as in reallity you are much closer and can see much more.It is great to sit on the veranda with a cool beer and watch the boats go by; otherwise it is only a short walk & you can dip your toes in if you want. I think a car is essential to make the most of a stay in Arzal, great beaches & pretty villages with markets are close by, but not walking distance. I can't bring myself to recommend the near by restaurants by the barrage, particulary the Creperie Pizzeria du Port where the service was frankly awful. Overall we were really pleased with our choice of this chalet & will almost r certainly return when we visit this area again.

Had a lovely stay and visited some lovely places, whilst catching up with family that live nearby

A superbly presented and equipped holiday home, plenty of room for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 teenagers). Our hosts were on hand if needed but left us to our own devices. Beautiful views of the river Clai from the kitchen and a lovely secluded private garden area. Really can't praise it enough and will definitely look to book again in the future
