Excellent in every way

5 of 5
This apartment was one of the best ones we have ever stayed - modern, spacious, lightful, stylish... and it has a truly phantastic view from all the rooms towards the Bassin de Thau. The apartment is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. We appreciated a lot the uncomplicated check-in/check-out. Marseillan is a nice, calm village with lots to do within a short drive. We adored the half-day exploration tour to discover by boat the oyster farming, guided tour through the Noilly Prat Factory, finished with the degustation of fresh oysters. Thank you sou much - we had a great holiday! We would definetly recommand the apartment and surely return ourselves to Marseillan soon.

Most relaxing holiday ever

5 of 5
sadly we had to leave Salicorne and Marseillan again after having spent there a wonderful week in April. It was the second time we chose Port Rive Gauche and it was just great again. The appartment has an amazing position and a stunning view out the sitting room window over the lake. You feel like on a boat floating in the water – sitting on your couch. That view is really unique. The appartment is very tastefully furbished and the beds are a dream - we all slept so well! The arrival is very easy as you can just collect the key in a key box outside the house. Everything you need to know is explained in the white folder in the appartment. We spent nice days cooking in the kitchen or going just round the corner for lunch or dinner in one of the nice little restaurants in the port. Oysters and seafood everywhere. We rented 4 bikes and cycled one day to the other side of the lake and had lunch at Les Voiles Rouges. We also had lunch at the Oyster degustations places nearby (la Cabane), one day we went to Carcassonne (amazing city!!! 1 ½ hours drive) and the best of all - spent a wonderful day at the Abbaye de Fontfroide. That place is truely magic! The last day we went for a canoe ride in the Gorges at Saint Guilhem du Désert (1 hour drive) and also visited the village. That was fantastic too. But there is so much more to see here in Okzitania, so hopefully we come back in Autumn or at the latest in Sping 2018 So we can really recommend the place Marseillan and especially Salicorne apartment at Port Rive Gauche. Thank you very much!
