Agay Holiday Homes

Make a holiday rental home or villa in Agay, France your home away from home. Agay, France

Located in a picturesque bay and surrounded by the Esterel Mountains, Agay is a small and attractive village that is the home of a surprisingly wide variety of holiday rental options. Staying in the village is a great idea for those seeking to mix the attractions and excitement of busier French Riviera resorts such as Cannes and Antibes with a more laid-back pace of life and some stunning natural scenery.

Things to do in Agay, France

Despite its popularity with ‘tourists in the know’, Agay is still a relatively quiet beach resort that allows the discerning visitor to escape the throngs of crowds that are often found in more widely-known seaside towns further along the coast. Agay has two excellent sandy beaches that are great for whiling away the days and topping up the tan; Agay Plage - a long stretch that lies in the centre of Agay, is the busier of the two, whilst Plage la Baumette is a quieter option that lies at the eastern end of the village.

To the west of Agay lies Le Dramont, a wild and rugged cape that shelters the village and separates it from the town of Saint-Raphael. This is the area to head if you fancy some outdoor adventure, as there are a number of walking and hiking trails to be enjoyed here, which take in a range of forests, mountains, beach areas and fishing ports along their path.

The centre of Agay has a more than reasonable number of restaurants, cafes and bars to keep those that like their nights out happy, as well as almost a dozen small shops for those that prefer to self-cater. Wednesday is market day in Agay, and a great place to pick up more food supplies and those all-important souvenirs, and during summer months there is also a regular antique market.

Places to visit on holiday in Agay, France

Antheor is just two kilometres along the coast from Agay, and is the name given to the main stretch of bay area near the beach. Whilst the majority of visitors will undoubtedly spend some of their holiday in Antheor, there are an abundance of other places to visit when staying in Agay, including the world-famous resort of Cannes (30km), which is just a 40-minute drive away. Frejus, 13km to the west is also worth a look, being the home of both an attractive medieval village and some well maintained beaches.

Weather in Agay, France

Although mild temperatures mean that a holiday can be enjoyed in Agay during the winter and late autumn, a holiday in Agay is best enjoyed between May and September, when temperatures are hot and the weather is sunny. Agay accommodation can get extremely busy during these months, so remember to book well in advance.

Travel to Agay, France

Charming villa with spectacular view

5 of 5
Wonderful characterful villa with a gorgeous swimming pool and the most spectacular view across the Bay D'Agay. The villa is quite rustic but very charming. The beach is very family friendly and a short walk away.

Excellent Apartment

5 of 5
As other reviewers have said, the apartment was furnished to a high standard, very clean and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the late afternoon sunshine after a day out. St Raphael is well located for visits along the coast, for example we went to Cannes and Monaco by train. We also enjoyed a number of walks in Agay and around Cap du Dramont. The town has plenty of good restaurants, shops and supermarkets. It is important to add that Mrs Clarke, the owner could not have been more helpful.
