              A beautiful Villa

              5 of 5
We have stayed at Villa Doluca 4 times and really love it. The villa is located in an elevated position overlooking Kyrenia, its about a 10 minute drive to the centre of Kyrena and around 10 minutes to Bellapais village so you do need a car. It is generally very quite although as with most gorgeous locations there is intermittent building noise these days. The view from the pool is partially obscured now due to a new villa being built adjacent to the garden, however this does not impinge on your privacy as screening has been erected. The villa is beautifully maintained inside and out and very very clean the garden is gorgeous and has matured magnificently over the years. The pool is crystal clear and was kept that way the entire duration of our holidays. The addition of maid service to change towels and bedding half way through the holiday was welcome last year (saved me washing them!). The villa is well laid out, with two bedrooms upstairs, one with en-suite and another twin room downstairs with a shower room. The lounge and kitchen are open plan and look over the pool and have everything you could possible want at hand, we've never used the lounge as its always too warm but it is well equipped with TV, surround sound and a DVD player, similarly the kitchen is well laid out with a utility room at the side, you do need to keep your food in the fridge to avoid ants - but that's the same all over Cyprus, we've been 14 times now and have learned to do so much to our cost!. The management team are accessible if there are any issues and do their best to resolve them immediately. The owners provide exceptional service and knowledge of the area and can book hire cars and airport transfers if you require them. There are rules and instructions for the villa and none are unreasonable, if you follow them your holiday will run very smoothly. We feel really lucky to have had the opportunity to return this villa time and time again and would recommend it in a heartbeat. We ourselves will definitely return if available, and if not I'm not sure I would go to Northern Cyprus!.

              Great space, reasonable price

              4 of 5
My wife and I know North Cyprus well and visit at least once a year in order to see family. During our visits we have stayed in numerous villas and this is one of the best. Location - in a great spot, near enough to town to feel part of the action but far enough away that you're not over run with it. The property isn't heavily overlooked and is in a quiet residential area. Villa - spacious and full of pretty much any item of furniture / utensil / cookware that you will need. The space is decorated and fitted to a good standard for a holiday let, not the most luxurious but most definitely comfortable and homely. Owners - I've always found the owner to be fantastic to communicate with, we had a slight issue with the wi-fi on our visit and this was fixed in no time at all. All in all the villa is a homely space and one which we will almost certainly look to stay in again (this was our 2nd stay here). One of the best things about Villa Cartref is that the owner has set a reasonable, sensible & fair rental price, which is rare in the region unfortunately. Thanks Huw for another lovely stay.
