This is a lovely old, spacious, airy, well-equipped house and we loved the glorious views from our bedroom window. The owners have done a fantastic, thoughtful and sympathetic conversion, so its modern inside but still retains a great deal of character. It was immactulately clean when we arrived with lovely fresh cotton bedding and towels. A very-well equipped kitchen was much appreciated - we were catering for vegans, vegetarians and meat-eaters. We did not use the barbeque. The beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms that had air conditioning were nice and cool in the evenings. With a large group, it was great to have 4 bath/shower rooms. We were a group of mixed ages - ranging from 18 to 66! Villa Rosa was absolutely ideal as it catered for all our needs. The younger (and not so young) thoroughly enjoyed the use of the Pico sailing dinghy, the kayaks and bikes. The older, less-energetic ones could relax around the pool or in the sea in or out of the shade. Loads of space inside and outside. The village is incredibly laid back and at one end there are centres for wind and kite sailing. We didn't participate but it would be a great base for anyone interested in this activity. The local shop (just 100 yards away) is brilliant and amazingly had quite a random range of goods, including a good choice for our vegans!! We went twice to an interesting fish restaurant called 'Forte'. Otherwise there are some great places to eat very nearby with good choices for kids, such as pasta a pizza. We loved Croatia and we loved Villa Rosa. We do hope to go back. Would thoroughly recommend to similar groups like ours!

                                      Serenity sunshine spot

This was my second stay here and it didn't fail to meet my last visits standards! Upon arrival we were greeted by Fanny, a lovely local woman who lives next door and looks after you during your stay for anything you need and comes to clean and change all bedding and towels once a week. We hired a vehicle, parked up and stepped out of the car a few feet from the sea! After a hefty 50m walk from shore to apartment ;), we unpacked and were off swimming. The apartment is spacious, clean, modern and has everything you'll need for a relaxing time in the beautiful croatia. It's simple and has lots of useful kitchen utensils and, after we've stayed, some citronella candles, handmade authentic fishing rods, toilet rolls, shampoo and conditioner and a great wine recommendation! It has a good zircon system but we didn't need it too often as it stays pretty cool in there anyway. Nice spacious fridge with freezer compartment. Cant complain really, everything was as described and functioned perfectly for what we needed. Great book collection i might add :) One of the biggest bonuses for us was the lovely outdoor bbq. A great big stone bbq area which we collected sticks and cooked fresh fish on. The area outside has seats and a table and deck chairs and a great view if the surrounding mountains. I guess the other major plus has to be the incredibly close proximity to the sea, shop, church, gift shop, restaurant and bars! There is also a wonderful breeze most days coming off the Adriatic sea which is perfect for wind surfing! Theres plenty places providing lessons and/or equipment to have a go - its quite the surfing hot spot early July/August. Great service Great property Great location Definitely would recommend, in fact have done already! If you're looking for a relaxing, easy, simple yet plush seaside holiday, look no further! It really is a beautiful spot and croatia is a great place to explore!! ENJOY
