Things to do

-Beaches: Most holidaymakers who head to the island of Brac are looking to spend hours lazing in the sun on the world-famous Zlatni Rat beach in the town of Bol. Here they will be welcomed by soft golden sands and crystal clear turquoise waters. However, tourists keen on finding quiet repose here are well advised to avoid visiting in the month of August as it can get quite crowded at this time of year.

-Water sports: The Zlatni Rat beach is a surfers’ paradise as it provides excellent conditions for windsurfing and surfing. Those into snorkelling or scuba diving will also profit from the extremely clear waters by this beach to view the marine life and wrecks beneath the surface. Associations where novices can learn the basics of diving are plenteous in Bol.

-Monuments: Sutivan is just an hour or so away from Split by boat and there are many ancient buildings of interest in this city. The one that easily comes to mind is the Diocletian Palace, a 1,700 year-old structure built at the behest of Emperor Diocletian. It has been used for a variety of purposes over the years and today it houses a number of shops selling souvenirs and bars. The building is also home to the Split City Museum.

-Nightlife: While still in Split visitors can get a taste of the lively nightspots there before returning to their holiday apartments in Sutivan. Young tourists usually love to indulge in a bar crawl, sweeping through such joints as Academia Ghetto Club, Bifora and Planet Jazz to shake a leg and let their hair down before calling it a night.

-Food and drinks: There are a few eateries that stand out among the many in Sutivan and the rest of Brac. A particular tourist favourite is Restaurant Dora as here they can get well done familiar dishes such as grilled chicken and steak served.

Weather in Sutivan

Like the rest of the Brac Island, Sutivan enjoys excellent weather which sees a prolonged warm season during the year. From May temperature averages are above 20°C and remain that way until autumn comes along in October. There is very little rainfall at this time of year. Winters are mild in Sutivan and even during the coldest month, January, temperature averages remain in the teens, though temperatures dip below 10°C on occasion.

Great place for family vacation

5 of 5
We were family of two adults and two children, we enjoyed our weekly stay in Sutivan, 28.July till 4. August. The property was very clean, with all necessary appliences available, easy to perform light cooking and breakfasts. Sanitary facilities and air conditioner worked great. Property is conveniently positioned towards local beaches (the closest is hardly 80m away, very suitable for families with little children, quite busy during daytime, umbrella is very advisable). There are spots for swimming to the right (on the rocks, interesting snorckeling) and left. The center of the village is also five minutes walk with good variety of cafes, restaurants and couple of small shops. Also there's a water sport center to rent a paddle board, wind surfing board, mountine bike. It's nice to have a car to travel the island. There're few little bays close to Supetar. All communication with the property management was clear and fast.

High quality villa.

5 of 5
We loved our stay at Villa Paradise. It is a really high quality villa, very tastefully furnished to an exceptional standard. We were 3 families - all of the bedrooms and en suites were spacious and lovely and there was plenty of room for us all to socialise in the open plan living space. We all loved the pool, especially the 5 kids. Lots of nice touches including the fridge being pre- stocked with PLENTY of drinks and food prepared for our arrival - we were able to enjoy ourselves from the moment we arrived. When we wiped all the TV tuning, our villa owner sent someone immediately to sort it. And I received a lovely gift for my birthday which took place in the middle of the holiday. Our villa owner helped us arrange some great trips- to the Waterfalls at KrKa National Park, and we hired a boat and crew for the day to tour Brac Island- would highly recommend. The villa was really well situated, we enjoyed mornings by the pool, and afternoon cocktails at the nearby beach bar whilst the kids enjoyed the water sports on offer which included Paddle Boarding and a giant inflatable play park. But there were lots of other activities on offer. Omis, the nearby town, is very pretty, and the more active ones in our group woke up early to walk up the mountain behind the villa and visit the church on top before the sun got too hot- stunning views. Croatia is beautiful with too much to see in just one visit. Would totally recommend this villa.
