On arrival Petar's Father showed us around the apartment and how everything worked etc. Petar was very prompt in getting back when we had any questions when communicating with him when in Croatia. The apartment was about 10 mins. walk from the main Road where frequent buses went from into Split Centre and back. There was a walk following the beach (keeping it to the left of you) into Split which was approx. 20/30 mins. took you into the bus station. The apartment was very comfortable and clean had everything you needed for selfcatering. Plenty of hot water, we stayed 3 weeks and so cooked many meals. The beds were amazing very large and comfortable beautiful linen on the beds, plenty of towels. Small garden to the rear and a sun catcher. Nearby there was a number of supermarkets selling fresh food/Veg etc. Their opening times were similar to Uks. Marvellous restaurant nearby called the Movi excellent food and reasonable. Also the Fife end of the Riva in Split far end away from the bus station. Split is full of interesting sites to see , watch the govenor of the province greet the citizens every day at noon at the Dalmation Palace.
Holiday Transfers shared shuttle service from Airport to Marvie Hotel £40 return each recommended must give a hotel for drop off and pickup. Apartment's Street have Marvie behind you, Road opposite walk up and 1st left (says no entry) go down and flat on left. If you do need a taxi 247 is the best all cars have meters some private don't and charge what they like. Nearest beach get to Marvie turn Right follow road you will come to it approx 10/15 mins. Very pebbly (take paddling shoes) but the water is so clear, we went Sept. and the beach was very quiet during week. You can book loads of tours go to the bus station. I had a medical issue whilst there but my companion went on a number of trips and every one was not a disappointment. Petar, Dad, Mum and his daughter we met and they were so friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate in recommending this apartment and it's owner to anyone wanting to stay, it was quiet, well located to the the centre, good public transport.
We loved this apartment, the view is beautiful. There’s a lovely lounges and dining area a well equipped kitchen, the shower is nice and powerful and the large bed is really comfortable. The balcony is a really good size with comfortable seating and good shade if wanted.
The supermarket beneath has all you need (and they’ll half a loaf if you ask, so nice fresh bread each day) and there are several others all within easy reach. There are plenty of bars and restaurants all within 5-10 minutes walk. Our favourite restaurant was Peperoncino, good food good service and nice staff.
The beach is just over the road, my husband said we’d walked further to the pool on previous holidays.
Split is an easy bus ride away, and there are lots of trips and activities if you want. But for us this was a relaxing holiday and it was perfect! We’re already thinking about a return visit.
I can’t finish without mentioning Blaga and her husband they are lovely people and so helpful. Blaga noticed it was my husbands birthday and she brought him a lovely gift of local wine and the most delicious homemade cakes. What a lovel touch!! (Thanks for the recipe Blaga, I haven’t had a chance to make them yet but I have the ingredients. Hope they turn out as nice as yours.
