Make a holiday apartment in Seget your home away from home

Seget is a town in the Split area of the Dalmatian Coast in Croatia. Visitors can find great accommodation options here where they can stay as they discover the treasures of Split, Trogir and other nearby cities. Visitors will want to visit the old town in Trogir which boasts many interesting monuments and a museum. Split is also the scene of many sites of interest and a number of museums. Seget is an ideal place to get holiday accommodation as it is close to the sea and visitors will have easy access to beautiful beaches. The holiday homes offered by HomeAway in Seget consist of spacious holiday villas and seafront apartments. They are equipped with a host of great facilities including barbecues, air conditioners and Internet access.

Things to do

-Monuments: Only 2km from Seget is the town of Trogir which is a treasure trove of historical buildings, a number of them religious. The Cathedral of St. Lawrence is one of Trogir’s gems. It is a 13th century with a bell tower which was constructed in the 16th century. Still standing centuries after they were raised are part of the town’s old walls and the south town gate which have evidently been well preserved.

-Museums: Split is only half an hour away from Seget and visitors should not miss the chance to pay a visit to this historically rich city. One of the key attractions of this locale is the Ethnographic Museum which is in the town square. To view artefacts from the time of Roman occupation, visitors should stop by the Archaeological Museum. This is reputed to be Croatia’s oldest museum.

-Beaches: Seget itself boasts pretty pebble beaches where holidaymakers can enjoy the summer sun while taking leisurely strolls or lazing on lounge chairs. And refreshments are always close at hand with a number of restaurants and bars at hand. Those with the energy to do so can party the night away at nightclubs on the beach.

-Water sports: The beaches in and around Seget play host to a number of water sports. Not only can holidaymakers look forward to frolicking in the warm Adriatic waters, they can take advantage of the ideal windsurfing conditions to learn a new sport or of the crystal clear waters to go scuba diving and get better acquainted with the diverse sea life. Boat rides to nearby islands are available as well.

-Food and drink: Holidaymakers residing in Seget holiday homes need not look far to find fresh, well done seafood specialities. Right in this town there are a number of classy restaurants where they can get their fix. One of the much-vaunted restaurants is Frenkie, which has won tourists over with the quality of their meals and charming ambience.

Weather in Seget

Seget is mostly warm throughout the year and visitors looking to spend time in holiday apartments here will find temperatures above 20°C even if they come as early as May. However, if they want to enjoy summer in full swing they should make plans to visit between June and August when temperatures hover between 26 and 29°C. But even those who find themselves in Seget in the winter months will have little to complain about as temperatures in this time of year mostly lie between 8 and 14°C.

Travel to Seget

Visitors coming in from most major European cities will find direct flights to Split Airport which is but 10km away. From the airport travellers can find their way to Seget by bus as there are regular buses that stop at the bus stop just outside the airport. While a number of these can take visitors straight to Seget, most will drop them at the main bus station in the Split city centre from where they’ll be better able to get a bus to their holiday home.

Great location and lovely villa

4 of 5
Croatia is absolutely beautiful, this villa was lovely to stay in a great location walking distance to the beach (15 mins) and a short car drive to two good well stocked supermarkets and local town of Umag. The villa is very light and spacious the kitchen is a bit of a squeeze but had everything we needed, just no kettle or toaster but we managed. Plenty of towels for the bathroom and around the pool, bedding was clean and comfy beds. The villa is in a quiet area and the owner Zoran and his wife are at the back of the property they made us feel truly welcome and presented us with a cake which was yummy. The pool is a good size and was kept really clean. There are some lovely towns nearby all worth a visit and a trip to Piran in Slovinea is a must. If you are travelling from Italy as we did just beware of the borders as they can be very busy and long delays. The only reason I haven't given this villa 5* is because the villa states in the description that all bedrooms and lounge are air conditioned and only the triple bedroom and the lounge area are, we did struggle the first few nights but then climatised to it so it wasn't too bad in the end. I would like to thank Mario for his help when booking this villa his English is really good and his father Zoran for making our two families feel most welcome.
