Seget is a town in the Split area of the Dalmatian Coast in Croatia. -Monuments: Only 2km from Seget is the town of Trogir which is a treasure trove of historical buildings, a number of them religious. The Cathedral of St. Lawrence is one of Trogir’s gems. It is a 13th century with a bell tower which was constructed in the 16th century. Still standing centuries after they were raised are part of the town’s old walls and the south town gate which have evidently been well preserved.
-Museums: Split is only half an hour away from Seget and visitors should not miss the chance to pay a visit to this historically rich city. One of the key attractions of this locale is the Ethnographic Museum which is in the town square. To view artefacts from the time of Roman occupation, visitors should stop by the Archaeological Museum. This is reputed to be Croatia’s oldest museum.
-Beaches: Seget itself boasts pretty pebble beaches where holidaymakers can enjoy the summer sun while taking leisurely strolls or lazing on lounge chairs. However, if they want to enjoy summer in full swing they should make plans to visit between June and August when temperatures hover between 26 and 29°C. But even those who find themselves in Seget in the winter months will have little to complain about as temperatures in this time of year mostly lie between 8 and 14°C.
Travel to Seget
Visitors coming in from most major European cities will find direct flights to Split Airport which is but 10km away. From the airport travellers can find their way to Seget by bus as there are regular buses that stop at the bus stop just outside the airport. While a number of these can take visitors straight to Seget, most will drop them at the main bus station in the Split city centre from where they’ll be better able to get a bus to their holiday home.
