  • Fantastic stay

We stayed as a party of 11 for one week in August. The villa is a few mins walk from the beach and 6 min drive from Novigrad town where this is bustling with fun activities, shopping and restaurants. The villa was great and met our needs as a family. Any minor issues that occurred we dealt with promptly by the owners and local agent. Fantastic stay. Hope to see you again.

  • A beautiful villa in a tranquil position.

What more can I say... A beautiful villa in a tranquil position. After the short drive down a country lane, past gorgeous olive groves and vineyards, we came to the sleepy hamlet of Lozari. As we opened the outer gate to the villa, we were met by the gleaming pool and the sun terrace. As we entered the villa, we were struck by its size and layout. It was very clean and well maintained. Everything was ready and prepared for our arrival What more can I say.. We so loved sitting in the shaded area, sometimes for breakfast, a cup of afternoon tea, pre-dinner drinks or a late night game of cards. It was great to soak up the sun on the extensive patio and then to cool off in the pool with Ulyana the Unicorn! We also enjoyed a wander through the nearby olive groves to sample the amazing views and the stunning scenery. We bought some locally-made extra virgin olive oil from one of the neighbours – the best in Istria! What more can I say.. Istria is beautiful and largely undeveloped. Trips to beaches at Strunac, Zambratija and Lovrecica were most enjoyable. We had a great day at Rovinj, with its narrow streets and bars, cafes and shops. A swim off the rocks was most refreshing. We would highly recommend a trip over the Slovenian border to the town of Piran. It really is stunning – with its quaint harbour, italian architecture and crystal clear waters. We did a short self-guided tour before we feasted on a yummy lunch at Fritolin pri Cantini (No 1 on Trip Advisor) What more can I say.. The food in Istria is fresh, local, uncomplicated and very, very tasty. We bought most of our food in Buje and found everything we needed – the local butcher was so helpful and accommodating. Our favourite restaurant was Agroturizam Selo Mekiši near Vižinade , closely followed by Stari Podrum in Momjan. However, our best value meal was at the Pizzeria Konoba San Leanardo in Buje – gorgeous pizzas, first rate service and amazing location. The local white wine was very drinkable......................
