We have the perfect holiday rental to match your needs:

Things to do

-Beaches. Popovici Beach is on the waterfront of the Konavle region and is as dramatic as beaches get. It sits beneath a tall cliff, at the bottom of a steep walkway, and offers a narrow but attractive pebble beach lapped by clear, shallow waters. If you walk along the shore from here you’ll be able to reach other smaller beaches.

-Diving. It’s easy to see why Croatia is one of Europe’s fastest-growing diving destinations. Cavtat is the next town along the coast, and its waters conceal one of Europe’s largest underwater archaeological sites. Dive trips are arranged to see some of the 1800 amphorae dating to the 1st and 2nd Centuries in a narrow channel between the mainland and offshore islands.

-Outdoor activities. The landscape becomes mountainous just a short way inland, which creates all kinds of exciting hiking and cycling routes. Experienced walkers could take the “Ronald Brown" trail, which heads straight out of coastal Cavtat into a formidable mountain environment, with exceptional views and species such as Hermann’s Tortoises to spot along the route.

-Dubrovnik. During your stay at a holiday home in Konavle, this city should be near the top of your ‘things to see’ list. It’s described as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ and is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site for the wide array of towers, churches and palaces that lie within its intact city walls, which span two kilometres.

-Ston. One of the best day-trips to be taken in the region is this town, northwest of Dubrovnik. It boasts the distinction of having Europe’s longest stone defensive wall, which is 4.3 miles in length and features ramparts and towers. What’s more, there’s another medieval defence system inside these walls, which is nearly a mile in length.

Weather in Konavle

Sitting next to the Adriatic, Konavle has a climate you would associate with a classic Mediterranean destination. Summers are long and warm, with weather that would suit beach trips from May to October. Arrive at a Konavle villa in mid-summer and you’ll get hot conditions outside, with highs peaking in the low-30s and very little rain. Spring and autumn conditions are moderately warm, with a little more rainfall, while winters are generally mild, with highs in the low-teens.

Travel to Konavle

You can get to a Konavle holiday home from abroad via Dubrovnik airport, which is just 12 kilometres from the village. It’s Croatia’s second largest airport and can be reached all year round from a variety of airports in the UK with both budget and premium airlines. Another way to reach the area would be to catch a ferry to Dubrovnik from Rijeka in northern Croatia or Bari in Italy. There’s also a bus station in Dubrovnik, with links to Croatia’s major cities, including Split, Rijeka and Zagreb.

Fantastic villa. Stunning location. Quite & relaxing. Excellent host.

We really enjoyed our time at Villa Betty and would definitely return. Robert and his family so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Location quiet and ideal to relax and unwind but very close to Dubrovnik city and airport. Villa Betty clean, well equipped and perfect size for family of 4 or a couple. Lots of places to explore around the local area and Robert always available if needed. Thank you!

Fantastic !

What can I say ! The holiday was first class .... from our host Stjepo greeting us at the airport, .... to the accommodation, .... to the beautiful town of Cavtat! My husband, myself and our two daughters (age 9 and 1), spent ten fabulous days at the beautiful property Villa Laureana in August. Stjepo met us at the airport, showed us around the town and the key landmarks, and was always readily available throughout our stay for advice and info on the area. He even arranged for his son Bepo to take my daughter to tennis! You don't get that service everywhere! The Villa is as it is described and shown on the photos , the views are stunning. Cavtat is so accessible to Dubrovnik and we took a boat trip part way through our holiday, definitely worth a visit but chose a day when there are no cruise ships. Cavtat is full of lovely restaurants at reasonable prices, and we thoroughly enjoyed the yacht watching! We will definitely be back to Cavtat and Villa Laureana!
