We stayed here during October half-term with our 2 boys aged 9 and 10. The apartment was beautifully clean, spacious, light and airy with a fabulous view. We felt that we'd really struck lucky with the location as there were many nice bars and restaurants very nearby. Bus links to the old town are fantastic but, as an active family, with boys that need exercising, we enjoyed our walks to the old town (approx 45 mins) and to the beach (less than 15 mins). Luko met us on arrival and kindly provided us with many useful hints and tips.
Spent 4 nights in Dubrovnik at the start of October half term 2018 and it was perfect. Firstly, the collection that we'd arranged via the owners contacts was seamless. On arrival we were met by Kristina with the keys - Kristina gave us a brief overview and showed us around and was very very helpful and has perfect English - The apartment was spotless. Full fitted kitchen and a new bathroom were ideal - although we didn't stay in to cook as Dubrovnik has too many great places to sit, eat, drink and people watch.
The bedrooms were great - beds very comfortable and there were plenty of towels - including beach towels, pillows and wardrobe space in general.
Couldn't fault the apartment in any way - very homely but all looked new and spotlessly clean and it catered for everything from bottle openers and scissors in the kitchen - as well as dishwasher tabs which was a nice touch to hand soap in the bathroom.
The location is perfect - just a short walk from the Old Town city walls and the supermarket for any bits and pieces needed was in between. There are great views from both bedroom windows. No where to sit outside at the apartment but to be honest it isn't really needed- certainly not on a short stay like ours and even for longer you are right across the road from the beach. You can watch the day boats leave Dubrovnik harbour pass your window!
Dubrovnik itself was fantastic. We all loved the place - whether it was the pasta and Rose Gin at Arsenal served by Roberto who remembered our faces, the waffles at Petit or the sheer splendor of being sat looking across the bay from the Panorama restaurant at the top of the cable car - everything was well cared for, so clean with great service.
Definitely recommend the walk on the walls and if you can face the climb the walk up the fortress opposite Pile gate for the views. We found a brilliant spot at the foot of teh fortress in the bay for drinks on our way down too.
Nothing negative to say about the owners, the smooth process of booking, great communications, the wonderful apartment or the city itself - we would all four definitely recommend the apartment and the city to all our friends and family
