Make a holiday apartment in San Eugenio your home away from home

Holiday villas in San Eugenio are found in a quiet neighbourhood in the resort of Costa Adeje. This is one of the best places on the island for families: moments away are restaurants, shops, golf courses and pristine beaches packed with things to do. Also close by are excellent visitor attractions like Siam Park, as well as the fantastic natural volcanic wonders for which Tenerife is famous.

A pool is a standard feature for holiday apartments in San Eugenio, and perfect for making the most of the fabulous weather while avoiding crowded beaches. Many rentals also have the advantage of sumptuous views of the ocean, while interiors are bright, airy and offering up-to-date conveniences like satellite TV and wi-fi. To make it easier to find the perfect rental, widen the net to include holiday homes in Fañabé, close by.

Things to do

-Beaches: This is a great part of the island for beaches, and most of the ones close by are ideal for families. Fañabé, Pinta, La Troya, del Duque and Torviscas are served by a host of facilities. For those who want to relax there are several rows of sunbeds and sunshades, and people who want some excitement can choose from all kinds of watersports. HomeAway also has a choice of holiday accommodation in Alto Torviscas, not far from a lovely palm-edged bay.

-Family attractions: Siam Park is one of the top-rated days out on the island. It’s a water park, but a great deal of attention has been paid to the experience, as there are huge models of Thai-style temples, and imaginative slides and pools of all descriptions. Also popular is Aqualand, where there are flumes, slides and pools next to animal attractions like dolphin shows.

-Excursions: Adeje City has several historic buildings such as the Casa Fuerte, constructed in the 16th century to ward off attacks by pirates and corsairs. Costa Adeje is also the place to embark on a whale or dolphin watching cruise: the southwestern side of the island is next to an important migration route, and 31 different whale and dolphin species have been sighted in the waters right here.

-Outdoor activities: Guests who want to fill their holiday with as many activities as possible will be hard-pressed to cram in all the experiences that are available close by. There are horseback rides, hikes through volcanic ravines, three 18-hole courses and some world-class dive sites. Tenerife is rightly considered one of Europe’s diving capitals as there’s so much to see under the waves here, from shipwrecks to colonies of sea turtles.

-Natural sights: Holidaymakers with a car can set off to see the many wonders wrought by volcanic activity on Tenerife. Nowhere is the scenery more dramatic than El Teide National Park. The crowning glory here is a vast stratovolcano, 3,718 metres in height, which makes the summit Spain’s highest point. There’s a cable car running most of the way to the peak, but it’s worth remembering to wrap up as it gets very chilly this far up.

Weather in San Eugenio

Tenerife is known as a year-round holiday destination because of a sub-tropical climate that ensures warmth, whether it’s winter or summer. People arriving at San Eugenio apartments between November and March will encounter daily temperatures that peak at around 21°C. This time of year is a little wetter, but rainfall is still negligible on this part of the island. Summers last from April to October and are invariably warm, with highs of 28?C and almost no rain.

Travel to San Eugenio

Tenerife has two main airports—Tenerife North (TFN) and Tenerife South (TFS). The closest one to San Eugenio villas is Tenerife South. This is especially convenient for holidaymakers from the UK, as the South handles a wide choice of flight routes from the UK. The airport is about 25 kilometres away, and using the TF-1 highway it should take about 20 minutes to get San Eugenio by car.

Lovely apartment,great location

5 of 5
Was a bit nervous as it was the first time we have booked privately so wasn't sure what to expect. There was absolutely nothing to worry about. Katherine was super helpful and answered any queries that we had before hand. The apartment had everything that we needed. The towels and bed sheets were only changed once during our 10 night stay but we did not find this an issue as there was a washing machine available, so we washed any towels that we needed to and with a huge double balcony there was plenty of room to leave things out to dry. The balcony got the sun in the afternoon and there was a canopy that you could use if the sun got too hot. The location of the apartment in the hotel was perfect on the first floor with a pool view. Couldn't use the pool bar however did not find this an issue as the apartment was so close to the pool so could pop back for any refreshments that we needed. Entertainment staff at the hotel included everyone and they are great. The hotel is in a great location with shops, bars and restaurants on the doorstep and a 5 minute walk to the marina/ beach (although there are a lot of inclines getting back to the hotel! - good exercise!). I would however recommend if you do struggle walking to get a taxi or minibus from the airport that can take you up the small hill to the hotel entrance as a coach cant get you up there. There is a Hyperdino opposite the hotel and another small supermarket which is a couple of minutes walk turning left out of the hotel. I would recommended Victoria's restaurant, also just to the left of the hotel - very cheap meals and breakfasts that were just as nice as anywhere else, we went there a lot during our stay. Also visited both waterparks (Siam Park and Aqualand - tip money off vouchers for Aqualand in Hyperdino and McDonalds) which were a free 15 minute bus ride away or around 5 euros in a taxi. There is also a taxi rank right outside the hotel which is useful. The air conditioning in the apartment was nice to be able to put on when returning on a warm afternoon/ evening. There is also a dvd player if you take your own dvd's which is good to entertain the children whilst getting ready as the children's Disney channel is in Spanish (not that my 3yr old minded!). The only suggestion I would make is to possibly have a spare set of keys for the apartment as we only had one set. Other than that no complaints - a great stay! Wouldn't hesitate to stay in this apartment again

Lovely clean apartment with all the mod cons you’ll need.

Stayed in Marina’s apartment at the end of July, she was friendly and welcoming and happy to help with any queries. Had a great time, relaxing by the pool and playing tennis. Explored the local shops within walking distance and ate out at a few - all very good. The beach was a bit of a disappointment, full of bolders rather than sand or pebbles and is about 15 mins walk away, rather than the 5 mins we were told. Los Cristianos, the town a couple of short bus rides away is a good shopping district, if you want a change of scenery. If you want a relaxing, quiet, chilled out holiday, this is the one for you. Recommended highly 👍🏾😊
