Make a holiday apartment in Playa de las Americas your home away from home

Holiday apartments in Playa de las Americas are set at Tenerife’s most vibrant and dynamic resort, where no visitor will want for things to see and do. For grown-ups there are golf courses, bars and all sorts of other nightlife. For kids the beaches are safe and full of fun, and there are numerous attractions close by like waterparks and zoos.

Being located in a purpose-built resort means that holiday apartments in Playa de las Americas have been configured with the needs of families and couples in mind. Things to do

-Beaches: Playa de las Americas has a sequence of six beaches, all boasting the facilities needed for a laid-back or action-packed day next to the Atlantic Ocean. Most of the beaches here have pale sand, in contrast to the volcanic sands found elsewhere on Tenerife. Torviscas is a classic example, with its gently shelving shoreline making it paddle-friendly, and row upon row of sunshades and sunbeds spanning its length.

-Activities: There are three golf courses in the vicinity, the closest being Golf Las Americas, an 18-hole par 72 full of interesting water hazards. Diving is also available, and Tenerife is a fine place to learn, with volcanic rock forms, shipwrecks and much more to see beneath the waves off the coast. And for an unforgettable wildlife experience embark on a whale and dolphin spotting cruise, departing from close by in Costa Adeje.

-Days out: From Playa de las Americas it’s possible to get to a host of attractions, towns and natural landscapes that will make a holiday complete. For kids Siam Park is a must, and this Thai-themed waterpark is a few minutes away in Adeje. An excursion to El Teno on the west and Añaga on the east will offer incredible views of Tenerife’s majestic volcanic landscapes, while the old towns of the north coast are well preserved, dating back 400 years.

-Nightlife: This district has a large array of nightclubs, cocktail bars, casinos and pubs, for holidaymakers who want to make merry. As well as being Tenerife’s party capital, Playa de las Americas has a first-class choice of restaurants and bars for visitors who prefer more sedate evening entertainment for their getaway. And anyone who wants to try authentic Canarian cuisine will encounter an appetising choice of fish stews, alongside smaller tapas-sized dishes like Papas Arrugadas—salty potatoes served with Mojo, a cumin and paprika sauce. If Playa de las Americas sounds a little too bustling, HomeAway offers some fabulous holiday rentals in Costa del Silencio, which is a little more relaxed.

-El Teide: Sitting at the heart of the island, this huge volcano is a symbol for the Canary Islands and gets a healthy dusting of snow in the winter. One of the essential Tenerife experiences is to catch the cable car to the station near the top. Local companies also offer excursions around the park at night, when visitors can enjoy one of the world’s greatest stargazing trips.

Weather in Playa de la Americas

Tenerife has a wonderful climate thanks to its southerly latitude. Conditions here are sub-tropical as the Canary Islands are level with the Sahara Desert. Temperatures don’t differ too much from winter to summer. Get to a Playa de la Americas holiday home between November and March, and moderate warmth will be in store, with daily highs of about 21?C. Guests arriving in summer will get slightly warmer weather, and highs in the mid-20s.

This airport is served by a host of budget and charter airlines from the UK. The drive from the airport to Playa de las Americas will take 20 minutes at most. There’s also a bus connection—the 111 runs direct at half-hour intervals and the journey will take about 30 minutes.

Fantastic Villa which enhanced our holiday

                                    5 of 5
Stayed with 7 friends for 1week and when we arrived we were instantly impressed. The Villa has a lot of space both inside and out and is nicely decorated with great furniture - the beds and sofas are very comfortable and each room has a lot of draw & wardrobe space. The view from the pool down towards the sea is fantastic; even better from the roof terrace. The pool is a great size and there are a lot of sunbeds ready to use - these are not reclinable however. When we arrived we found towels ready to be used which was great and there are a lot of infos/tips posted around the house on do's and don'ts which were all really useful. The Wifi is good although only really works within the Kitchen / Living Room area and not in the bedrooms. TV includes most if not all Sky Movie and Sport channels although it can freeze from time to time but is still good; we watched a few Euro 2016 games with no bother. The Villa is tucked away down a private road surrounded by other Villas meaning external noise is minimum. A 2 minute walk from San Eugenio shopping centre and around 10minute walk to the beach; although walk to the beach is quite steep. There's a really good Pool / Snooker centre on the walk to the beach which we frequently visited. We went on a boat trip with just ourselves for a few hours (i'd hugely advise doing, can't remember who we went with but there are a lot of companies to choose from) and the port is also 10minutes away from the Villa. There are a lot of restaurants down the beach to choose from, most with good quality food. If you're ever needing to get away from Costa Adele (Siam Park or Playa De Las Americas) cabs are easy to get from around the shopping centre. Overall the Villa is fantastic largely because of it's location, great pool and aesthetically the Villa is lovely. Ellen is also really useful in answering all queries before our stay. Few issues: - A few of the lights in the Villa were not working - one of the Single Bedrooms, one in the living room and a few in the hallways - Shower door in one of the bathrooms is really dodgy, nonetheless the doors do shut properly and keeps water out - There was work being done in the Villa next door, we are talking walls being knocked down and loud drills and blades which caused some inconvenience during the day when we were chilling by the pool. The noise one day woke up one of the guests on that side of the Villa which isn't ideal. Not sure how long they will be doing this work for.

                                    Excellent Stay

                                    5 of 5
Just returned from Mitzzi's bungalow and i have to say that it was excellent. All the amenities you could ever want, great location and the free wifi also made everything great. Mitzzi's was great all the way through and quick to respond to any queries, i also feel as if we had any problems (which we didnt) they would have been sorted in no time. There was even a cot put up for my son. If anyone is thinking of staying in this accomodation please take my advice and do nt hesitate to book, we will certainly be staying again!

Great accommodation, bedrooms, ensuites and kitchen excellent.front seating area was for breakfast in the morning sun,and relaxing beer in late evening ,great view.pool is heated and well maintained, kids and us loved it.all facilities were in great condition.its a 5 minute walk to Siam water park/mall,restaurants, shops and childrens play zone. The beach is another 5-10 min stroll,we didnt hire a car and walked, the trek back up the hill was fine, unless you've got a case of beer,8 litres of water and 4 bags of shopping;).Taxi from Hard Rock Cafe area to the house was only 3-4 euros if needed.we had 11 days and enjoyed them all, would come back to Costa Adeje, and would definitely stay in same house .
