Make a holiday rental home or apartment in La Caleta, Spain your home away from home

La Caleta is a quiet fishing village in Tenerife, the largest of the seven Canary Islands. Tenerife is also the busiest of the islands, and La Caleta is a hidden gem - an excellent spot if you want to be able to enjoy the busier surrounding areas, such as Playa de las Americas, but would like somewhere quieter to base yourself from. Self catering accommodation includes luxury apartments, which offer great views from a coastal location.

Things to do in La Caleta, Spain

La Caleta is a great place to unwind, and an ideal place in which to do it is from one of the bars and some excellent seafood restaurants near the harbour, where you can enjoy some excellent fish that has been caught earlier that day. Many of these offer great views of the sea and the bay area.

If you are feeling a bit more energetic you can go for a dip in the sea, explore the harbour or take a sightseeing wander along the beach.

The beach at La Caleta is relatively small, and a mix of sand and pebbles. A short walk south will take you to the much sandier Playa de la Enramada beach. If you are in the mood to continue your walk, by carrying on south for a few kilometres you can enjoy a scenic walk along the coast to Playa de las Americas, which continues on to Playa del Duque, and all the way to Los Cristianos if you wish to carry on that far.

Good sized property in great location for families.

4 of 5
Villa Roma is a spacious property - with three decent sized bedrooms and bathrooms for each. The heated pool is pleasant and extras like wifi were great. We made great use of the pool table and table tennis round the back too and liked having three different areas to eat. The air con in the bedrooms was great, though ironically we didn't end up using because our baby was getting a bit congested because of it. The villa is in La Caleta which is about 15-20 minute drive to most of the attractions/las Americas/Adeje/Puerto Colon, which suited us as we hired a car whilst there. I can't comment on accessibility by public transport. The nearest decent family beach took about 25 minutes to walk to and there are small supermarkets with a couple of minutes walking. The sea is two minutes away and there are several nice, but pricey restaurants along the front. There's a kids play park across the road from the villa which got plenty of use too! The villa if anything is in need of a little investment. Things are a bit grubby and whilst it was tidy enough when we arrived the floors were mega dirty - not a problem if you don't mind keeping your shoes on indoors. We're used to barefoot so it was more noticeable for us. The pool would benefit from a scrub too, but they were fine for what we needed. Likewise the dishwasher was a bit rubbish and we couldn't get the TV working as the internet didn't seem strong enough. Could have just been us being a bit useless through. We had thought ahead to bring Apple TV with us and we used this most days instead. The servicing involves getting towels swapped on a Thursday, then bedding and towels are done on Mondays. We were there 12 nights all in. At no point was the villa cleaned for us, just beds made (once) and fresh towels. Again, we didn't mind this as are happy to clean our own mess, but you shouldn't expect more than this when going. The owner is very responsive. We had some issues with a burst pipe on the day we arrived and a plumber was sent promptly to sort it for us. Overall a great place. We only booked for a week but chose to extend our stay whilst out there as we were enjoying ourselves so much. It would be excellent value if all the rooms were being used too (we only went as a family of four so didn't use the top floor). I would recommend and would stay here again if visiting Tenerife.

Excellent studio apartment in a great central location of Costa Adeje

5 of 5
We stayed here a few weeks ago, apartment is situated on the Orlando complex which is a few minutes walk to central Adeje, the complex has 3 pools and this apartment overlooks the small pool ( which we used daily ). One of the best things we found was that we didn't have to reserve sun beds all week , the complex is mainly residential so the majority were at work and school, plenty of shops and great restaurants and bars close by. I would highly recommend for couples who want a relaxing break, I wouldn't recommend if you have walking difficulties or have a disability as their are quite a few steps or a small hill to access the apartment The owner Max was great, we were met by one of his colleagues on arrival and departure and communication was perfect from when we booked. Over all an excellent stay and I would highly recommend, great value for money and we will be staying again.
