I travelled with my 25 year old daughter for a girl's holiday 23rd June 2018. From start to finish everything was wonderful. Nikki is very responsive, I had several questions before we travelled and she always replied to me immediately. She gave me Colin's telephone number (the property's caretaker/manager) and he and I arranged for airport pick-up and drop-off for 35 Euros each way (much cheaper than a private taxi) which even included him driving us all around the key parts of Corralejo, showing us the supermarket (an 8 minute walk away, a big Super Hyperdino which is cheaper than the smaller one in the town centre) and giving us tips about a great beach bar (6 minute walk away). Colin also printed off our return Ryanair boarding passes and brought them with him when he collected us.
The apartment's particular location in the complex is the best, having a pool view but being tucked away at the end so that it feels very private. It was stocked with cleaning supplies and laundry detergent, tea, coffee, and even some various dry goods. The bed is big and comfy, there is lots of wardrobe storage, and towels are provided (bring your own pool/beach towels or buy them cheap at the big Hyperdino supermarket). The ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom were nice to have. The outdoor patio was great to have breakfast on.
The pool is massive and clean, lots of sunbeds but we tended to wander to the various beaches including taking Colin's recommendation of catching an 8 Euro taxi (from the big Hyperdino) to the RIU hotel on Playa Grande-- there are two RIU hotels side-by-side so go to the one on the left (as you face the sea) and there is a nice beach bar, we hired a pair of sun loungers with a parasol for 10 Euros for the entire day and it was heaven. Hotel reception will call you a taxi back (we did have to chase the reception staff twice though, so make sure they actually phone the taxi company before you walk back outside!).
We also took the water taxi one day to Los Lobos island (15 Euros each) and walked over past the restaurant to a lovely hidden cove, bring beach shoes and snorkelling gear. You can also walk in the other direction for more beaches. We took a picnic of sandwiches and wine but the restaurant did look nice.
Corralejo as a town is great with lots of live music at the beach bars, and every shop and restaurant you could ever want. I don't normally go back to the same place but I would love to return here! Thanks for everything!!!
