Make a holiday rental home or villa in Nessebar, Bulgaria your home away from home

Nessebar is among the oldest towns in the whole of Europe. Located on the Black Sea coast in the Bourgas region of Bulgaria, Nessebar is a wonderful place to stay, surrounded by the beaches of the Black Sea and the amazing array of historic attractions, some of which date back as far as the third century and beyond.

Things to do in Nessebar, Bulgaria

Nessebar lies on a rocky peninsula that juts out into the waters of the Black Sea. There are two main town beaches, both around the newer part of town where much of the self catering accommodation in Nessebar is located. The beaches are beautifully long, wide, golden beaches, backed by small cliffs, covered in some surprisingly rare plant species. The gently sloping beaches make Nessebar a wonderful resort for family holidays, as swimming is safe, even for children.

However, Nessebar is best known for the numerous attractions of the old town. Having dominated the peninsula for over 9,000 years, the attractions are breath-taking, even if you have little interest in history. The old town is strewn with beautiful little churches, most of which date from the 11th – 14th centuries, and are open for visiting throughout the year. The churches of Christ Pantokrator and Sveti Loan Krastitel are certainly worth exploration from any Nessebar holiday home. The old town is still wonderfully romantic, with tiny cobbled streets bursting open to reveal charming, shaded squares and great villas, which overhang the streets.

Places to visit on holiday in Nessebar, Bulgaria

Sunny Beach is among the most beautiful of Nessebar’s beaches. Sunny Beach is probably the most famous of Bulgaria’s beach resorts, and located just 2 km from a self catering Nessebar villa, you are perfectly located to take advantage of the plethora of water sports on offer, as well as the excellent nightlife for which the resort is famed.

Weather in Nessebar, Bulgaria

Located on the southern shores of the Black Sea, temperatures are always a few degrees higher than in the resorts of the North. During the summer months, which last from the end of May until the beginning of September, daily peak temperatures can be expected to reach into the mid 30’s (°C) daily, with wonderfully balmy evenings in which to enjoy the excellent nightlife of Nessebar.

Travel to Nessebar, Bulgaria

A holiday rental villa in Nessebar is fantastically easy to reach from Bourgas International Airport (BOJ), just 30km away. There are a great range of airlines arriving into Bourgas, leaving British airports including Dublin (DUB), London, Birmingham (BHX), Glasgow (GLA), Manchester (MAN) and Bristol (BRS).

2 very nice weeks spent here. Julian is a very nice man. He went beyond the call of duty to ensure our stay was as good as can be.

Heavenly and Peaceful all we wanted.

5 of 5
We chose this villa as we where looking for somewhere with a private pool to suite my husband and I, while also having a communal pool for our 2 teenage daughters. I would like to say if we could transplant this villa and its location into every place we had stayed in and around Europe we would be delighted. This villa has one of the best positions on the resort looking out onto the fields, this also provides a light warm breeze ideal for comfortable sunbathing. The villa is packed with everything you could possibly need with a nice décor. Wi-Fi connection was very good both in the villa and around the communal pool which ticked a box for our daughters and allowed us to stream in films to our laptop with no problems. Both the villa and the resort was very clean and well kept, safe and secure. We eat in the restaurant on the resort, the food was delicious, the service was excellent and the prices where very reasonable it comes with our recommendations. There is a small shop on camp that provides a lot of the basics. If your looking for a little treat the hotel spa is very good, compared with the UK this is very reasonably priced. The local bus service runs every 20 minutes into Sunny Beach about 16 LEV for the four of us. If you wanna hit the night light last bus in is 22.20, you can easily find a taxi back at 5 in the morning for about 30LEV.(By the way the last Bulgarian dance club we where in was still going strong at 5am, cost nothing to get in and was very classy). If you want to get out and about on your own time frame and want the convenience of a car I would strongly recommend getting a hire car, again these are very reasonably priced. Communication with Corrine from beginning to end has been !st class with not a single hiccup. We can highly recommend a stay here you won't be disappointed.
