Amazing location

5 of 5
This seaside cottage is directly on the rocks almost touching the turquoise waters of Mullins. You can't get any closer to the ocean. They views are breathtaking. The cottage is very basic but has most of what you need for a stay. My husband and two teenage sons stayed here for 10 days. Plenty of clean towels and linens. Joanna the house keeper is a real sweetheart. She keeps the place tidy and was very helpful with information about the island. Anne and her husband were very welcoming and made sure we were settled in and would check in from time to time to see if we needed anything. Mullins is a busy beach full of activity with boat cruises and many other water sports. We never went to the beach bar as we thought we had the best view on the beach so we made our own drinks and sat out on the deck over looking the ocean. I heard the food is amazing but a bit pricey by the tourists. There is a wonderful little local restaurant a short walk past the gas station on the left that sells delicious homemade meals for excellent prices. This cottage is prime location. You will not be disappointed. We loved it. Thank you Anne for making our stay so pleasant.

Perfect Location

4 of 5
The house is located perfectly on Mullins Beach next to Mullins Beach Bar which has watersports, drinks, food etc... House is located right on the water so if that is what you are looking for this place has it. It has an upper deck with loungers so you can soak in the sun from your deck and it has an outdoor shower on each deck. Perfect view. I took off a star due to it needs new refridgerator as it barely works for the refridge part and the freezer sucks is the best way to put it. it only makes about 3 cups of ice a day, then it doesn't dispense the ice and you have to keep pulling out the ice tray to get it as the dispensing mechanism don't work. You have to go out and buy your own ice since it don't work. Garbage can is way too small and it is broke. Lots of road noise as you have ocean on one side and the main road feet from the house on the other side, so it took a few nights of no sleep to get used to it. The deck is in bad need of a staining and finish. If they got a new refridgerator/freezer and a garbage can and stained the decks I would stay again. At this price point those should be non issues, so it is either the property managers fault or the owners but this issue has been going on for some time and needs to be fixed asap. The house cleaner/cook was great that came with this and she took care of us very well. To save money you can take the bus as it comes right outside your door. the longest we ever had to wait for a bus was like 2 minutes as they come all the time and only cost $1 US per person. Much better than expensive taxi. If you have never taken a Barbados bus you will be in for a thrill ride just like you are on a roller coaster. LOL. Take the Yellow busses which are privately owned. Most of them play Regae music and it is like a big party on the bus. The blue busses are government owned and no one talks and it is dead quiet on them. The yellow busses will stop wherever you are at versus the blue busses wont stop unless you are at a designated bus stop. Sundays at 4:30 Mullins bar has a live band. get their early if you want a good spot or somewhere to sit down. The band is very good! You just literally have to walk like a 150 yards and you are there. they offer watersports there for rent. We did the flying board which was just awesome.
