Wonderful Stay

5 of 5
We stayed as a family of four (two boys, aged 12 and 10) at the beautiful Ocean Blue apartment at Glitter Bay. Prior to our arrival, we exchanged many emails with the owner, Penny, who patiently answered all of our questions and made sure that we were happy before we had even arrived. On arrival, we were met by our driver, Perry, who had been organised by Penny. He was a great fun, knowledgable, reliable and helped shepherd us around for our entire stay. As to the apartment itself, words cannot express how beautifully decorated and maintained it is. The furnishings and design are stunning, its a great size for a family of four and Penny has managed to think of everything. It is also perfectly located for both pool and beach and the view to the beach is breathtaking. Glitter Bay itself is a well run property: the gardens and tennis courts, are perfectly maintained, the pool is clean, the beach is perfect and the staff all made us feel welcome. It is also brilliantly located for the many great restaurants around Holetown and Speightstown. On the subject of which, special mention must go to Sea Cat. We should also mention Chauntel who visited daily to keep the apartment sparkling, which included helping us with some clothes washing. We really can't recommend Ocean Blue highly enough and can't wait to go back. Those early evenings spent on the stunning terrace with G&Ts will live long in the memory.

Wonderful holiday in Paradise!

5 of 5
My family (husband and two teenage children) and I stayed at No 7 Porters Court this summer. Our first visit to beautiful Barbados. It was everything we hoped it would be and we had a fantastic holiday. Amanda was helpful and informative from the beginning of the booking process through to the end of our stay. The villa was wonderful and exactly as we had imagined it, and we felt very at home and comfortable there. We enjoyed the pool but fell in love with the beach and spent many hours snorkelling and swimming both in the day and often at sunset. The beach club passes were certainly a huge asset. We always like to see and experience as much as possible of wherever we travel to, so enjoyed many a reggae bus ride (!), a great catamaran cruise, some water sports including a surfing lesson for our son in the south, cooking some of the local fish and making our version of a Bajan curry and "Paella" in the well equipped kitchen, and experiencing the sensory overload on a night out to Oistins! We were also very privileged (with out really realising it beforehand) to be there for the Kadooment Day of the Cropover Festival, and loved getting into the atmosphere and celebrations along the streets with the locals. Wilma the housekeeper was wonderful - helpful, warm and charming, as were all the people we met there. Thanks again Amanda, and for making the booking and arrangements for the holiday very easy. We really hope we can return one day.
