The Folkstone Marine Park, with its artificial reef, is a veritable playground for water-based activities. The scuba diving here is absolutely amazing, and if you do not have your PADI licence, then you can even get one during your stay. Places to Visit on Holiday in Folkestone, Barbados

Barbados is quite a small island, and exploring it is simple on either public transport or with a hire car. Certainly a drive around it is recommended, and you will discover many idyllic sandy bays and beaches this way. One of the most popular tourist attractions on the island is the Harrison’s Cave, with its huge caverns and magnificent stalactites and stalagmites. A visit to the Caribbean would not be complete without a rum tour, and if you do not already have a taste for the spirit, you may well have at the end of the tour! Finally, for something different, why not take a day out at the races? The Garrison Savannah makes for an interesting day out, and grandstand seats cost less than ten pounds.

Barbados basically has two seasons – a wet season between June and November, and the dry season between December and May. A holiday in Folkstone is possible at any time of year, but is obviously better during the dry season. Temperatures during this period range between 28 and 31 degrees Celsius, and rainfall is not an issue. The temperatures are, in fact, almost the same during the wet season, but torrential rains can and do occur.

Fabulous Property!!!

5 of 5
Booking Sharon & Nick's property was so easy. Sharon responding so quickly to my emails gave me confidence and this property did not disappoint. The photographs say it all, what you don't realise is sitting on the roof terrace watching the sunset you can hear the waves lapping, the beach is so near!! The decor, soft furnishings, towels, bedding.......all top quality!! The plunge pool is a great size and perfect for young and old. We loved having the BBQ on the terrace. Mullins Beach Bar is opposite and we enjoyed the reserved sun beds, towels and waiter service, all included with our booking. Great food and fantastic cocktails! I can highly recommend Blue Waters, and I will certainly be booking again in the very near future. Christine S

October 2017 our first visit

5 of 5
Had two weeks at Little Reef and soon felt very much at home. Grantley welcomed us and Shirley had made sure we had welcome provisions. Position of the apartment is perfect for the quiet beach - spent hours watching the passing boats and changing weather giving us panoramic scenery before our eyes. We swam each day in the clear waters. Supermarket with a range of provisions is a short walk away either along the road or the beach. Buses are very regular and took us to nearby towns to explore. Also took us to Andromeda Gardens and Huntes Gardens both beautiful and worth visiting. We visited Wendy's, a local bar, and enjoyed our food and beer. We also ate at Zacchios and The Beach House and enjoyed both meals very much and were reasonably priced. Rum punch really goes without saying...could have had more!!! The locals were all helpful and friendly. Would definitely like to stay here again.
