A fantastic apartment in idyllic location

5 of 5
My first trip to Barbados was 20 years ago. I have stayed in various locations, at Hotels, Apartments and Cottages. I never seemed to get both just right at the same time, until now. For the past 7 days I have stayed at Little Reef. A fantastic apartment in the most idyllic location. It was my home for a week, and I loved every minute of it. Only wish I could have stayed longer. The apartment had everything I needed, and more. Travelling alone, I could sit on the balcony in the evening, feeling extremely safe. Then I was able to move into a lovely cosy sitting room with comfy chairs, I often fell asleep in. The view from the balcony. There are no words to do it justice. Absolutely brilliant and amazing. Grantley and Shirley looked after me extremely well. As well as Sally, from the moment I booked the apartment. Everything in a personal manner, which I appreciated very much. I very much hope, I can come back to Little Reef in the foreseeable future.

Look no further - this is THE place!

Sea Risk is such a fabulous place to stay. The accommodation is simple and clean, but has everything you need, including a washing machine. We stayed in the downstairs apartment and really enjoyed using the garden which backs straight onto the beach. Our 3 year old loved running in and out of the sea and playing in the waves right on the doorstep – she also loved the snorkeling. The reef is just there a stone’s throw from the apartment and is full of sea life, including a reclusive turtle – she is generally to be seen around 4pm. We saw lots of brilliant fish including angel, trigger, lizard and squid to name but a few. The supermarket is a 10 minute walk away, or you can drive 10 minutes for a bigger shopping centre. We hired a car and were able to explore. Our favourite beach was Alleynes Bay about 15 minutes by car north of Sea Risk. We parked in the road opposite Lone Star and walked down. We saw turtles every time we went and even a MASSIVE manta ray – wonderful! Dr Cool gives 15USD massages, on the sun loungers which are a must. And Juju’s beach bar is good for drinks and food. We often bought food from local vendors selling delicious food out of their vans – home-cooked and fresh. We watched the sun set every evening from the patio and swam until the sun went down. If you don’t want to leave the apartment you just don’t have to – it is all there! The little bookcase full of books is also very useful for fast readers who have not brought enough books with them. Al is such a diamond and was so helpful and friendly. He made us feel so welcomed and is a very generous and genuine man – we love him! Stay at Sea Risk and you will not be disappointed. We will return in the future and will definitely stay at Sea Risk again. Can’t wait.
