We’ve just come back from a week at this lovely house on the lake. We arrived late in the dark and the pouring rain but even though we couldn’t see the view the house was clean, welcoming and cosy. It wasn’t until the next morning when we woke and got to really appreciate the beautiful views. (Stunning!) The house isn’t huge but it had everything we needed and more. It was cosy and romantic when it was cold and wet and the little sauna in the garden was perfect for warming up after a swim in the lake when it was cold. It takes on a different feel when it’s warm and sunny, you can really appreciate outdoor living. A lovely garden and outdoor terrace which you can jump straight into the river ,have BBQs and watch the sun set with a lovely glass of wine. We spent many nights on this terrace even when it was raining and cold as they have lovely warm blankets and part of terrace is covered. The rowing boat and stand up paddle board that came with the house were absolutely fantantic and entertained my husband and sons for hours while I got to sit and relax on a sun lounger and watch. The house is about 10/15 mins easy walk to town centre where you will find lots of lovely shops, restaurants and cafes. There is a cycle route round the whole lake and we hired bikes one day and couldn’t believe how beautiful the route was. We have been on many lakes and mountain holidays and it always difficult to find the perfect combination of lovely house, pretty town that is nearby with lots of facilities and not far from other places of interests and activities. This house is the best we’ve found, it ticks all of our holiday boxes, which is quite a big list when we have two sons that are quite different ages (13 & 19) a husband and sons who enjoys an active holiday and myself who is happy to lie on a lounger and watch the world go by. Book it, you won’t be disappointed!!!

We have just spent a very relaxing 10 days at Riverside Cottage. The property's location was ideal for us - a little bit off the beaten track but within easy walking/driving distance of local amenities. The cottage is very cosy and has a traditional Austrian feel with additional English touches (a kettle was most welcome, as was the freezer and automatic washing machine.) The decking outside was ideal for sunbathing on the sunloungers provided. The parasol was also much welcomed by those of us who like to sit outside but instantly turn bright pink in the sun! It was lovely to just sit and watch the cyclists and steam trains go by, and we did not find this intrusive at all (in June the steam train only runs twice a day on a Tuesday and Thursday). We will definitely return soon
