Peregian Beach holiday rentals are surrounded by some excellent places to visit. The Peregian Environmental Park is a protected area for wild flowers and wildlife. To the west is Lake Weyba National Park and the lovely Lake Weyba. The name means “place of stingrays” and there are many fish and stingrays breeding in the shallow saltwater. Take a cruise up the Noosa River to Lake Cootharaba and the Everglades where there is plenty more marine wildlife to see. You can also enjoy a scenic drive inland and see where pineapples were once grown and sawmills operated. Now the fertile Mary Valley is a quieter place to visit, with gorgeous views along the way and a string of small towns to visit. Learn about the Aboriginal culture at the Bunya Art and Bush Tucker Centre or take a ride on the Kadanga Heritage Railway.

Peregian Beach is about 123km north of Brisbane Airport and is easy to reach by car along the Sunshine Motorway and the M1. There is also a domestic airport for domestic flight connections known as Sunshine Coast (MCY) Airport at Marcoola, just 14km from Peregian Beach.
