  • A truly wonderful house

We were all surprised from the moment we entered and all chose our rooms, how much room there is, including a lovely play area downstairs. The bedrooms on both floors are nicely furnished with good storage and space, and very comfortable beds. The showers and bathroom (huge with a bath) have plenty of lovely shampoos, shower gel and hand wash and there's loads of towels. We loved the kitchen with a huge fridge, coffee maker, and all appliances with enough detergents etc left for us, also lots of condiments. We used the BBQ for a large birthday gathering of 16, using both tables and together with the lounge and outdoor decking we had a great time. The pool is lovely and the decking area around it is great, having deck chairs, and the sun was on it until 4 or 5pm. The area is quiet, and shops at The Junction are close by as is Hastings Street and the main beach if you're a good walker, or there's free parking down there. We walked from the door down to the National Park and the trail to Hells Gate and on to Sunshine Beach where we caught the bus from Dukes Street. (My mum who is 87 even managed to do it after a lift down to the start). We saw dolphins at Hells Gate, also a turtle, but it was too rough for us to go into the sea, so had to be content with a paddle. We loved the dimmer light in the house which gave it more of an Australian feel as we'd just come from Woodgate and a modern bright house (both fantastic large houses, but very different, this one being better equipped). David was a good communicator, and also very kindly allowed us a later check-out, which we greatly appreciated, thankyou again. I would recommend staying here with a group of friends or families, and I would love to come back.
