You cannot ask for a better location in the CBD. It is located across the street from Southern Cross station, easy to get to if you take SKYBUS from the airport. This loft style 1 BD is a wonderful value and I would definitely stay here again. Coles (food market) is right across the street as well and there are several places to eat in the Spencer Outlet Centre. The Free Tram is close as well and is on Bourke street. Excellent location and within walking distance to many things. Lina met me on time and explained everything to me and was so nice. If I had to pick a negative, it might be how sparsely the kitchen items were. I did buy a can opener and leave it there for the next person. This is a wonderful value and enjoyed my 15 day stay here.

This condo is clean and secure, with a well appointed kitchen, also parking if you need it. We found a bottle of wine, a liter of milk and a carafe of cold water waiting in the fridge on our arrival, also a variety of coffees and teas. It's a small space and the furnishings are basic but for the price and location it's a good deal. One concern we had was with the slow wifi, particularly in the bedroom, so if you are very dependent on wifi when travelling this might be a consideration; however we experienced inconsistent wifi in many parts of Australia so it may be an infrastructure issue. Danielle and Ruth are very good hosts and quick to respond to any inquiries or concerns. In fact I left behind some prescription glasses and Danielle was kind enough to send them to me in Canada - at her expense - which was outstanding customer service and greatly appreciated. The condo is beautifully situated in the heart of Carlton, a very pleasant neighbourhood in central Melbourne. Within a block or two on Lygon Street you can find excellent coffee shops, bakeries, gelato shops, restaurants, pubs, upscale boutiques and a good grocery store. It's also a funky old neighbourhood with character, and fun to explore. It's walkable to the Victoria Market (not to be missed) and downtown Melbourne, or you can catch any number of trams on nearby Swanston Street. All in all it's a good place to stay if you want to get the flavour of a local neighbourhood.
