Australia is an incredibly popular holiday destination with people from around the world, who are drawn to its good weather and laid back lifestyle. There are many areas that can be visited in this vast country, and a range of accommodation options to suit all needs and budgets. For those people that would like to base themselves in the south of the country, and would like a certain amount of independence, a holiday rental house in Aldinga Beach comes highly recommended. Located just south of Adelaide, its has all of the comforts and mod-cons that one would expect with a modern rental, and has the feel of a home away from home.

So, whether swimming, scuba diving or snorkelling is desired, it is all possible close by. Surfing is also popular in this part of Australia, and simply walking along the beach is another great way to soak up the atmosphere. The two most obvious places to visit during a holiday in Aldinga Beach are Adelaide and Kangaroo island. Kangaroo Island has an abundance of wildlife that makes it one of Australia's top ten attractions, and the animals here include koalas, wombats and of course, kangaroos. It is certainly worthy of a day trip. Another day could be spent in Adelaide, where the main attractions include The South Australia Museum, The Central Market and The Botanical gardens.

Weather in Aldinga Beach, Australia

The area around the holiday rental house in Aldinga Beach has a climate that could be described as Mediterranean, and whilst it does follow seasonal patterns, holidaymakers from the UK should keep in mind that the seasons are reversed. This means that the hottest summer months are November through to March, when the day time average highs are above 25 degrees Celsius. The cooler winter months are between May and September, when the average daily highs are 16 degrees, and the lows are 9 degrees. Even during the wettest months, rainfall barely exceeds 80mm, and in the summer, it is practically non existent.

Travel to Aldinga Beach, Australia

There are no direct flights from the UK to Adelaide given the distances involved, and at least one connection would have to be made at some point. There are various options available, but perhaps the most common route would be to fly out of London Heathrow (LHR), and then land in Singapore (SIN). From there, a flight could then be taken directly to Adelaide Airport (ADL). Perhaps the most suitable airline to use would be Singapore Airlines. On arrival in Adelaide, one could then hire a car to use for the duration of the holiday in Aldinga beach.

Just great!

We have had a fantastic time at Scrubtide, using the pool on those over-40º days and the beach most other days. It was a real treat to be able to have sunset swims with spectacular views. As a family we: explored a few wineries (Woodstock is very good if you have kids, they even have an animal sanctuary); took the 'Cockle Train' from Goolwa to Victor Harbour where we then walked over to Granite Island and explored the views and sculptures, before catching the horse-drawn tram back to the train; drove to Glenelg to catch the tram into Rundle Mall and then back again on the tram to enjoy the Glenelg water play areas and a local eatery; and at the Willunga Market we stocked up on olives. Thanks for your recommendations for wineries, we have brought home some lovely McLaren Vale wines. We met lovely local people at the beach on our sunsets swims and the winery folk were also very friendly and knowledgable. We were struck by the community feel of Acacia Terrace. Scrubtide is so well equipped and we really appreciated the little details, including the labels—both informative and amusing. The cubby-house, pool, kitchen, dining, living room and the kangaroo greeting us in the driveway... all brilliant. We didn't find the very clever charging station until we were packing to leave... we should have explored the drawers more than we did. Thank you.

Perfect home

Perfect home for a nice week away. Great location as it was both a short distance to the beach, shops, restaurants etc. Not a bad thing to say about it, definitely enjoyed our stay and will be back!
