Remember, Remember the Fifth of November…in Somerset

Take a mini-break to Bridgwater and experience a unique bonfire night

Everybody knows the story of Guy Fawkes and his fellow conspirators, but what is not so widely known is that the oldest recognised Guy Fawkes Carnival takes place each year in Bridgwater, Somerset. So for those wishing to experience a truly spectacular display, HomeAway Holiday-Rentals has compiled a list of Somerset holiday homes still available to rent during this unique bonfire night event.

The development of the Bridgwater Guy Fawkes carnival can be traced back to 1847, making it a massive national event that attracts around 150,000 people from around the country and overseas. The largest illuminated carnival in the world featuring over 75 floats, it takes place on the 6th November. With over 70 Somerset holiday homes still available to rent on, bonfire night provides the ideal excuse for a mini-break away with family or friends.

There are homes available to suit every group size and budget: to make it easy for everyone to find the right setting for the festival, we have compiled a selection of beautiful holiday homes, from a budget log cabin to a luxury family chateau.
