ELIGIBILITY £500 property rental- special promotion for ‘A Place in the Sun Live’ Competition is open to persons who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry and live in the UK. Employees of HomeAway UK Ltd., or any of its affiliated entities, as well as the spouses, children, parents, grandparents, and household members of each such employee, are not eligible.

The promoter of the competition is HomeAway UK Ltd, Portland House, 25th floor, Bressenden Place, London, SW1E 5BH, United Kingdom (the 'Promoter').

The decision of the Promoter will be just, final and binding. Being awarded the £500 holiday rental stay prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
Entry to the competition begins on 12 April 2013 at 10.00 a.m. GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) and ends on 14 April 2013 at 17.00 p.m. GMT (the "Entry Period"). Entries received before or after the Entry Period are void. The Promoter reserves the right to amend the closing date of the competition without notice.
When a person submits their competition entry details that person will receive one entry into the Draw. Entries are limited to one entry per person.
At the end of the show (Starting at 10.00am Friday 12th April 2013 and ending at 17.00pm Sunday 14th April 2013) the Promoter will draw the name of winner in a random drawing from all eligible entries received. The drawing will be judged by Promoter. Any decision made by the Promoter in connection with the draw is final and binding.

The winner will be notified within approximately ten (10) days of the entry date. If the winner is a minor or is in any other way ineligible, the winner will be disqualified and another winner will be drawn.
The winner will receive the £500 towards a property rental. Confirmation of booking with the property owner or owners must be provided by sending an email to HomeAway UK Ltd. via the address provided in the prize confirmation email before funds are released. The stay must occur within the one (1) year period following the notification to the winner that he or she won the prize, at which time the prize shall expire.  The prize winner must provide proof of the rental rate payable for the property by sending the property owner’s confirmation of the booking and the total amount payable to the email address provided in the prize confirmation email.  HomeAway UK Ltd. will be responsible for paying to the property owner or owners the amount of the rental cost up to the maximum prize amount, provided that should the rental cost (1) come to less than the prize amount, HomeAway UK Ltd. will forward the difference by cheque or bank transfer (as specified by the winner) to the winner to a maximum of £100, or (2) exceed the prize amount, it will be the duty of the winner to pay the excess to the relevant owner/owners. For the avoidance of doubt, the winner must bear his/her own travel and other costs in connection with the property rental.

Except where prohibited, participation in the Draw constitutes winner consent to Promoter's use of winner name and county of residence for promotional purposes in any media without further payment or consideration.
All information submitted to Promoter as part of this Draw will be treated in accordance with Promoter's privacy policy or Supplier`s privacy policy. “Supplier” meaning the third party sending the prize to the winner. Entrants have the right to access, withdraw, delete and correct their personal data, however they might be excluded from the game in that case. In such event, Promoter reserves the right to award the prize at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Draw or to be acting in violation of these Terms & Conditions or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to undermine the legitimate operation of the Draw may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Promoter reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Promoter's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. In the event of a dispute as to any online entry, the authorised account holder of the e-mail address used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. The winner may be required to show proof of being the authorised account holder.
Except where prohibited, by participating in the Draw, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Promoter, HomeAway, Inc. or any of its subsidiaries, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (the 'Released Parties') from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Draw or receipt or use of the prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorised human intervention in the Draw; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) errors in the administration of the Draw or the processing of entries; (e) late, lost, or undeliverable mail; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant's participation in the Draw or receipt of the prize. Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties' liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Draw, and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for legal fees. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.
