An attractive seaside town in the province of Latina, Lazio is famous for its Fascist-era architecture and for attracting numerous Italian celebrities.  With gorgeous beaches, semi-deserted bays, clear blue skies, colourful nightlife and its closeness to Rome Sabaudia, it has an abundance of charms.  The town was created as part of Benito Mussolini’s national reclamation and urbanisation programme.  This landmark project from the 1930s involved the draining of the Pontine Marshes to create new towns.  Pontine was founded in 1933 and lies within the 8,500 hectare Parco Nazionale del Circeo.

The coastal town offers much to the visitor and HomeAway has secured a number of wonderful holiday villas in Sabaudia.  These large homes can sleep upwards of five and are the perfect choice for families and large groups of people.  The beach is very much part of life here, and many of these holiday properties are close to the sea and surrounded by forests and countryside.  Smaller parties will enjoy our Sabaudia holiday apartments, that also feature amenities such as washing machines, coffee makers and independent kitchens. These properties are superbly priced, but if you looking for cheaper holiday rentals in the same area, consider Formia where HomeAway also has a selection of apartments and villas.
