Morgat is 45mins drive from Brest Airport and 1 1/2 hours drive from the Ferry Terminal at Roscoff. Morgat is a Breton port with shops, restaurants and creperies lining a crescent shaped sandy beach. Longoustine, crab & lobster are always on local menus, and its a terrific place for children of all ages activities including tuition in sailing, surfing, diving and all water sports. There is a Tennis Club with indoor and outdoor courts, bicycle hire, riding school and boat trips within easy reach too. 5 mins away, the town of Crozon has a local market each day and several good supermarkets nearby.

Sandy beaches, spectacular cliff paths and good surfing abound and due to the 'in and out' coastline there is always shelter from any wind. Cliffs are covered by heather and gorse which makes for spectacular scenery. Nearby are the mediaeval cities of Locronon and Quimper with its wonderful cathedral. We have been every summer to Morgat for the past 30 years and now our grandchildren go too! There is a lot to do and see for all ages and because of the Gulf Stream the weather is warmer than the UK and this part of Finistere has never seen snow. The Presqu'ile de Crozon benefits from its own microclimate. Taking one of the ferries to the Isles of Ushant, Molene or Sein is very exciting and a wonderful trip. They depart from Camaret, which is well known to most British sailors and is 15 mins drive away. The real joy of this area is the fact you can get away from the crowds that haunt the Cornish beaches.
