Accommodation in Catalonia

The autonomous region of Catalonia encompasses the majestic Pyrenees mountains, the exciting city of Barcelona, and the beautiful 250-mile long coastline. The southern two-thirds of the coast is known as Costa Dorada while the area north of Barcelona is the Costa Brava. Most holiday rentals in this region are on the coast.

Places to holiday in Catalonia

Barcelona - As the capital of Catalonia, Barcelona is a vibrant city known for modern art, innovative architecture, high fashion, exciting nightlife, interesting restaurants and great shopping. Holiday rentals in Barcelona and apartments in Catalonia are amid the narrow, winding streets of the Gothic Quarter and Las Ramblas, as well as the busy city centres filled with street performers, artists and vendors.

The Costa Brava - The area is a 160 km stretch of beautiful coastline in the northern region of Catalonia. Holiday homes, villas, and rentals in the Costa Brava are amid the wonders of natural beauty, endless miles of sandy beaches, and of course, sunshine. While there are many tourist centres, they are conveniently located alongside traditional fishing villages, hidden coves and medieval towns with ancient castles. The Costa Brava has four regions; L'Alt Empordá, Baix Empordá, La Selva and Girones.

La Costa Dorada- 20 towns and numerous beaches with clean sand and crystal clear waters make up the Costa Dorada. Holiday homes and villas in Costa Dorada are often cradled between the sea and the mountain range where there are wide areas filled with quiet towns and farmlands, where vineyards, olive groves, hazel trees and almond trees grow, and occasionally even vegetable gardens. The large tourist centers along the beaches of the Costa Dorada, such as Sitges, Tarragona and Delta del Ebro, which have developed on the model of the old towns, so are sometimes located on top of hills near the sea, as they once were as a defense against corsairs and pirates in earlier centuries.
