You could head to the Aquarium Barcelona, an excellent modern attraction, or ride the aerial tramway from Montjüic to Barceloneta.     -Nightlife. For people of all ages Barcelona is a wonderful city to explore when the sun goes down. Younger visitors could head to clubs like the converted warehouse, Razzmatazz, or the Balearic-style beach venue Mac Arena Mar, in San Adrià de Besòs. For high culture you’ll find the Gran Teatre de Liceu, a premier Opera venue, a few minutes away in the Ciutat Vella.

    -Beaches. Barcelona is also a beach destination, thanks to the sandy shoreline that makes up much of the city’s waterfront. These beaches are clean, attended by lifeguards and complemented by great shops and other facilities. Sant Sebastià is the nearest, but there are other great options as you move away from the harbour, at La Mar Bella, La Nova Icária and Playa del Bogatell.
