    Sant Pol de Mar is a small town located 51km east along the coast from Barcelona, in between Canet de Mar and Calella. A combination of well-respected traditions, unspoilt scenery and top gastronomy have made Sant Pol de Mar a favourite with the discerning tourist, who wants to spend part of their holiday in Barcelona, but prefers to locate themselves away from the hustle and bustle of the city and as close as possible to the beach.

    Within the village are a decent selection of amenities, including traditional shops, small shops bars and other local businesses. Self-caterers can also head into the neighbouring villages, which have slightly more in terms of selection, or opt to eat out in one of the excellent restaurants around the area.     Just a short walk from Sant Pol de Mar is the Parc Natural de Montnegre-Corredor, which covers around 15,000 hectares of valleys and mountains. A number of activities can be enjoyed within the park’s boundaries, including horse riding, adventure sports and some excellent long-distance hiking and walking trials.

    Neighbouring villages Canet de Mar and Calella are both worthy of a visit, and require either a five minute bus journey or a 45 minute walk along the beachfront to get there.
