    Located deep in the lush Lecrin Valley in Andalucia, Pinos del Valle is an ancient village dating back to the 10th century, perched high on the valley side with spectacular views across the mountains. The views across the Beznar Reservoir are stunning from the majority of Pinos del Valle villas, and the two imposing churches complete the scene.

    The village has all the facilities you need to enjoy a wonderful self catering holiday in Spain. Pinos del Valle is split into two parts, one containing the main shops and supermarket, and the other more residential, housing a number of excellent restaurants and several bars, serving excellent local food as well as the beer and wine famous to Andalucia.

    The gorge offers some excellent walking along both sides. There are local maps and guides for the best walking in the Lecrin Valley, and there are a huge range of walks to be done. The red and white strips painted onto posts, walls and even trees mark public walking routes if you would prefer to take to the hills without a guide.

    There are a couple of fantastic festivals in the village every year. These rural festivals are a huge celebration of local life, where the community all get together for a week of feasts, music, dancing and vast firework displays.
