If you’re looking for the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, or somewhere to use as a base from which to explore Majorca, then a Randa holiday villa is definitely for you. HomeAway offers a premier selection of holiday villas in Randa that are wall well maintained, well facilitated and with a range of excellent features for a comfortable stay.

    Things to do in Randa

Although Randa may only be a small village, its proximity to the coast and larger tourist centres, mean that you’ll never be at a loss for things to see and do. It is however, a good idea to hire a car if you wish to explore some of the island’s more remote sights and attractions.

-The Puig de Randa Sanctuaries perched on the Puig de Randa Mountain overlooking the village are definitely worth seeing. The three hermitages are situated along the winding road that leads up to the mountain’s summit, which means that as you ascend the mountain you pass the sanctuary of Gràcia, followed by Honorat and finally Cura. This also makes for a great bike ride from your Randa holiday villa, although the ride can be challenging in places.

-The beaches on the south coast of Majorca are absolutely breathtaking, and whilst your Randa holiday home may not be located at the seaside, it is easily within driving distance of stunning beaches such as Cala Pi and Es Trenc (both require an approximate 30 kilometre drive). Es Trenc in particular is really worth visiting, as it is said to be one of the most popular and pristine beaches in Europe. Be aware however, that a section of Es Trenc is reserved as an official nudist beach!

-Aqualand Waterpark in El Arenal, approximately 19 kilometres from your Randa is a fantastic place for a family day out. The park offers a number of different waterslides and pools, all with their own specialised theme, in addition to a wave pool for older children. There is also an excellent little minigolf park nearby if the waterpark isn’t enough to wear the kids out.

-The artificial pearls manufactured at Perlas Orquídea in Montuiri, a mere 8 kilometres from Randa, are renowned for being basically indistinguishable from the real thing. A visit to their massive showroom and factory will give you an insight into the complicated process required to produce these treasures, in addition to the opportunity to take some of these beautiful creations back to your holiday villa in Randa – at factory prices!

-The glass blowing factory in Algaida, roughly 5 kilometres from Randa is definitely worth seeing if you’re interested in the process behind creating the fragile glass masterpieces found throughout the region. There is also a fantastic showroom, which gives you the chance to purchase souvenirs or gifts, in addition to a perfume museum for something a little out of the ordinary.
