Make a holiday rental, home or villa in Saratoga Springs, New York State your home away from home

Saratoga Springs is named after the mineral springs which are prevalent in this area of scenic upstate New York. The springs were a healing spa as long ago as 1767 and were the reason the town sprang up. It catered to many tourists even then. In the 19th century the mineral waters were developed into European style spas, and the Grand Union Hotel was built, the largest hotel in the world in its day. Gambling, although illegal, also took place on nearby Saratoga Lake on the southeast side of the city. In the 1960s the town benefited from the completion of Interstate 87 which made the area accessible to visitors from New York City. Whether you choose a rental home or apartment in Saratoga Springs, it will make an excellent base for exploring this lovely area.
