    Venus Bay township is on a narrow peninsula of land with Anderson's Inlet on one side and the ocean on the other. It has a small shopping centre of essential stores offering groceries, take-away food, fishing and surfing equipment. Its main appeal is its five surfing beaches with the only patrolled beach being #1 beach, home of the Venus Bay Lifesaving Club.
