The average temperature for this period is often above 32 degrees centigrade, usually peaking in April. Annual rainfall is usually in excess of 79 inches. Bangladesh is prone to annual cyclones and floods, especially in coastal areas between April and May.

Travel to Bangladesh

Hazrat Shahjalal (formerly Zia) International Airport (DAC) is located in the capital city Dhaka and is the busiest airport in the country. Flights arrive here from various international cities including Beijing-Capital (PEK), Hong Kong (HKG), London-Gatwick (LGW), London-Heathrow (LHW) and Rome-Fiumicino (FCO). There are car rental kiosks at the airport and visitors will also find taxis and tuk-tuks outside the terminal building.
