Things to do

The city of Zakynthos on the islands of the same name, is both the capital city of the island, and the largest city on Zakynthos-Zante. Visit the Bochali Hill, which overlooks the town and features a Venetian-style castle. Zakynthos enjoys a long tradition of music including serving as the historic hub of Greece's opera tradition.

Navagio Beach:

Zakynthos-Zante is home to some of the finest beaches and vantage points in all of Greece! Visit the stunning Navagio beach, with white sands and clear waters surrounded by dramatic cliffs. The beach is accessible only by boat, and is a popular site for base jumpers. See the shipwreck of a boat from 1983.

Zante currant:

Be sure to sample the mouth-watering Greek cuisine on your trip. The Zante currant is native to the island of Zakynthos-Zante. The island also produces grapes, citrus fruit, currants, and olive oil. These simple ingredients pop up in the cuisine of the island, and are best enjoyed in long, luxurious meals with loved ones.

Blue Sea Caves:

Visit each of the three locations of the Blue Sea Caves that surround Zante. The first is located east of Skinari on north of island, the second at Keri, and the third at Porto Vromi. Each of these caves is filled with clear, deep blue waters, and are collectively accessible by boat tour.

Visit the resort at Laganas. This white-sand beach is nine miles long and is extremely popular during the tourist season. The resort is the largest of its kind on the island, and is exclusively for those aged 18-30. A variety of cuisines and beaches are available at Laganas.

The tiny, uninhabited and privately owned island of Marathonisi is a popular day trip from the town of Keri. From afar, it looks like a turtle and is known thus as "Turtle Island." Sample the fennel which grows wild alongside the oak and pine trees.
